There was nothing wrong with this, but it didn't stand out to me, either. I suppose 1:00 - 1:54 (my favorite part) would be nice to listen to as background music when I'm just chillin' (keyboard was utilizing rests nicely), but as somebody who listens to bands like Symphony X, Dream Theater, and Kamelot on a regular basis, I found this to be a bit dull and simplistic. If what you are going for is just some chill music, however, then you are on the right track.

I would stick to the metered music you were playing in the beginning and at the end. the freeplay jazzy stuff you were doing didn't seem to fit in piece. It may be because of my preference, but at the same time it also sounded like other people were implying the same thing in the previous comments... its always great to see the working of a tune in progress in the studio....

personaly i think it needs an awfull lot of work. the constant percussion in the background sucks ass.... and the melody itself seems to just go nowhere then gets lost somewhere then comes to a crossroad with 3 signs all saying somewhere so it takes the first one and ends up nowhere :) hopefully it finds a map to nice percussion land and picks up some vocals along the way :)
