  • @VideoJoeKnows THANKS WILL DO!!!!

  • @zeedottv Great! Joe :0

  • real helpful thank you!!!!!

  • @zeedottv Glad to see you want to learn how to do it yourself! I have lots of drywall videos that could help you with your projects....& beyond!. Take a look around. Anytime you have a howto/DIY question, let me know. I'm here to help you with your projects. Joe :0

  • I'm guessing you used dryer mud because you want it to dry faster. Would you have used a more watery mud, drawing the paper through it before application, if you had more time to do it? I notice you don't use a corner trowel -- it seems like many professionals don't bother because it doesn't save them much time. Thanks for posting this effort - it's the small, time saving tips that are most useful.

  • @spelunkerd I used quickset mud since this was a patch & I wanted to apply the other coats of mud the same day, so I could finish the patch in one day. If you use regular all purpose joint compound, you would have to wait for it to dry between coats as the mud shrinks when drying......quickset doesn't shrink. Joe :0

  • @spelunkerd Most pros don't use a corner trowel as you then are switching from this trowel to a regular 6 inch broadknife when the mud exgtends beyond the end of a corner trowel.....plus some corners end up not being true 90 degree corners then your corner tape doesn't fit in there nice & tight. The tape needs to follow the contour of your inside edge. When you do alot of corners, you just get better with using the broadknives, you'll see. Thanks for commenting. Joe :0

  • @spelunkerd If you are doing alot of corners & not just a patch, you might want to use all purpose joint compound but remember to let the mud dry all the way before applying the next coat, as the mud will shrink on each coat, if you are not using a quickset compound. I have other videos that talk more about quickset tape & the benefits, etc.. Look for them. Joe :0

  • @HelloCuteKitty81 Let me know how your patch turns out. Joe :0

  • @DiamondSoul04 You're welcome...& welcome aboard! I have lots of sheetrock/drywall videos so check them out. They may help you with your projects. Have any questions after that?...let me know. I want to help you with your DIY projects. Joe :0

  • damn frustrating! show a close-up of the work. otherwise this is just an audio tutorial.

  • @DSAK55 Sorry about not showing a close up of what I was doing. I will keep that in mind when doing future videos, now that I have figured out how to prevent camera shake on close-ups. I also wanted you to see how I was putting the tape on & getting the mud out of a pan & putting it up. A close up wouldn't have shown all of that but I will take note of your comments & be aware of showing close ups during part of a video as I can see that would be helpful as well. Thanks for commenting. Joe :0

  • @SCOTTYBEE4JC Always like to share when viewers send me comments like yours!!....lol Thanks. Have a great Sunday. Joe :0

  • i can't understand why the tape is there? its fine even without it as u paint the corner any way

  • @RemoteControl99aJJI The tape bonds the corner together & prevents the sheetrock mud from cracking out. All inside corners should "always" have a layer of tape....whether it be paper tape or webbing tape. It doesn't cost much more for the tape & it lessens the likelihood that you will have to patch a corner again. Try it next time ok? Thanks for your question. Joe :0

  • @VideoJoeKnows Thanx, I will.

  • Great video !!

    Thanks for sharing !

  • @fsrio Thanks for checking out the video. Hope it helps you with your project. Come around anytime!!....lol. Joe :0

  • I really appreciate your videos

    it's a pity i'm italian so i can't undestand very well.

    greeting for italy

  • @83springfield Does your youtube channel let you change the language to Italian? Not sure if you can do this. You could probably do this for anything I write, under the video, but not sure if you can change the voice. Check it out & let me know. Look under settings or go to a youtube forum & ask your questions. There might be someone there who can answer them. Thanks for your comments & for checking out my channel! Joe :0

  • @VideoJoeKnows hello joe, no i can't make it, i think...i'll try to search on forum i'll see it.tnx

  • @83springfield Good luck. Joe :0

  • Too bad your not my neighbor, i would have become yo apprentice XD

  • @darktard I would've made you my apprentice too! Joe :0

  • @VideoJoeKnows That would have been awesome. If I had the opportunity, I would fix anything and everything and build it. aaaaaaaaaaa lack of knowledge ><... videos are better than books... at least its closer to hands on learning than anything else rofl

  • @darktard It's called....watch & learn...& very powerful. I try to show & explain what I'm doing too, so it helps you with understanding what to do. Of course this is better than just reading something out of a book, or article. The most important is the actual doing though. You won't be perfect the first or second time but keep at it as you will get better the more you do. I'll be there for you, when needed. Thanks for commenting. Joe :0

  • @VideoJoeKnows I think i'll start practicing with the wall that has a hole punched in it. Thanks again!

  • @darktard I have other videos that show you how to patch a sheetrock hole. Type that in the search box, on my channel, & see what comes up. The more info. you have, before starting your project....the better. I even have a video that shows you how to cut your sheetrock for your patches. Look for it. Joe :0

  • Amazing as always, thumbs up!

  • What's with the "excessive" use of "quotations". It's really "annoying".

  • @craxelle Sorry about annoying you. I thought I was benefitting people with my use of quotations so they can zero in on the important described items. I will keep your comment in mind when writing up my descriptions from now on & refrain from the excessive quotations as you have pointed out. Thank you for your constructive criticism....I appreciate it. Joe :0

  • Hello "video viewer",

I'm not sure what you mean by your comment. The video is only describing how to install a "patch piece" of inside corner tape using quickset mud as an underlayment. "Joe" doesn't go into any further details of the inside corner taping patch or anything else. I would be happy to comment further to your thoughts if you would like to "add" to your comments. Thank you for spending some time with "Joe" this evening!

  • Ya try that with that popcorn crap on the walls too.
