I have a stock 2008 CBR 600 RR and I'm learning to clutch up. I can't seem to pick it up at 8K rpm. Could it be my sprockets???

@flypunk90 the main way to hurt a clutch is by riding it. What i mean by that is holding the clutch a little in and going. Hes letting it all the way out really fast so it barely does any wear.

@bdj00lz Thanks for the advice! I checked tire pressure earlier this week and I was at 30PSI in each tire so I inflated both of them to 35PSI, says max load pressure is 42PSI. What PSI do you recommend?

@Kailly000 I was forced to buy a brand new rear Michelin Pilot Power last September after running over a piece of glass, so I would think the tire isn't the problem. Could be weather, and not having the tires warmed up yet. What changes in throttle/clutch do you perform when doing a 2nd gear clutch up versus a 1st gear? In 1st I have been keeping my throttle in 1 constant position and just quickly popping the clutch, no extra revving while pulling in the clutch. I have examples on my channel.

Call me a noob if you want but most of the time when clutch up in 2nd my rear tire breaks loose and spins. I can pull it up but just not as consistantly as I'd like too. Any suggestions? I ride an 04 CBR600RR with stock sprockets.

@Eddythefork With stock sprockets its kinda hard to power wheelie in 2nd gear thou ive been able to do it while doing stand ups.

As for 3rd gear its very hard and ive never been able to do it.

@Eddythefork The list of mods is way to big to put in here but ill tell u this, it as a Yoshi rs-5 carbon fiber slip-on, Arrow stainless headers, K&N air filter, Pair Mod, Power Commander 3 already Dyno tuned and Stock sprockets.

Im thinking of going +5 in the rear as i prefer torque instead of top speed.

@MrGlassAddict 2nd gear around 7000 rpm, i use the speed (km/h) to guide myself, not the rpms. I can clutch her up betwen 40 km/h and 120 km/h.
