  • Nice video! I have a new commander for sale if anybody is interested. Look up seller jcrow97.

  • Nice review thanks!!!

  • that is one hell of a knife and all the rest in the vid.....

  • strange musik

  • Sorry, but this is an ugly knife!boah Love the Millie

  • love the song man! Tool FTW

  • my favorite video, closeup photo, combination photo. You a professional photographer. I enjoy this video every day, very pleasant. On this information, which is enough, no words, but describes far more, I purchased Emerson yesterday. This video has great force.

  • i'm glad i could held, thanks a lot for the kind words

  • I totally agree, it's a classy clip. One of the few clips that really make you appreciate the quality without having to pick em up!. Hows your new Emerson?, I got a Spyderco ATR for my first knife, my next is the benchmade 710 at 1:32 it's old school tough.

  • Thanks.

It's not so new now but i like it just as much. I don't use it that often but it's one of my favourite.

Most say 710 is great and i agree.

Let me know now you like it.

  • @holdenccc hello fellow holden, its not often you run into another holden, especially one who is into knives!

  • Nice vid. I have been looking to buy some knives. I am just not sure where to start. I carry an old Kershaw utility knife my dad gave me. But I was really wanting some nice weapons to use for self defense/emergency situations. I have been to so many sites. I dont even know where to start, I have been favoring the Spyderco Military. Any recommendations for a first time buyer?

  • i prefer an utility looking knife that can also be good for SD, sheeple friendly, confortable to carry.

Military, Commander, Chinook are too big for that. They look cool when i got them but now I don't use them anymore.

I carry now only Bradley Alias 1, benchmade mini Skirmish and SOG Flash II.

I would say any blue class benchmade is great utilitary and SD, they are strong, light, fast, good looking.

  • Thanks man I really appreciate the info.

My grandpa has one of the largest gun/knife collections I have ever seen. Every time I see it I have this itch to start collecting too. I think I may Actually buy the benchmade and SOG 1st.

Those Bradleys are expensive! Wow.. sweet knife though.

i really do fancy the Emmerson Commander though.

  • your gradpa must be an awesome guy.

    i'm glad i could help!

  • mini commander

  • this is the Commander, not mini

  • this knife is too big, and if i want a knife that big i'll go with the cold steel recon 1(tanto). i want a litte knife so i bought a cqc-7b, but commander is great too.

  • right, i don't carry it beaucause it's bulky.

it's a great strong knife, much better than Spyderco Chinnok, which is crap.

  • yeah I like big knieves:P planning to buy the same commander, love the plain edge versions.

    great vids cheers

  • thanks man.

i think there no need for serrations on commander, it cuts like hell.

    regards.

  • is that a super commander or just a normal commander? Like the fenix torch 2 Ive got the tk11 it rocks:P

  • Normal Commander, still a big knife. I also love the Fenix lights.

  • Oh yeah... Definitely Commander is my favorite Emerson. The second is CQC-7B.

    Outstanding vid and song.

  • Thanks man; I love also CQC9 and 12-Comrade.

  • <3 the song choice!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you didn't like the song?

  • i love the song!!!!!!!!!!!! tool rox

  • That's so true.

    Take care bro!

  • Thanks man.

  • Fenix are awesome. I have also the small Fenix P1 CE on my keys.

  • nice i have the CQC-15 black t coat part serated.emerson makes good solid knifes.

  • this is my first Emerson, it's really solid.

    Emerson rocks:)

  • Hey John,

    Awesome knife!

    5 STARS

  • Thanks Duane!

  • Great video, I think I speak for all steel junkies out there and thank you for putting up your collection of blades very well done.

  • thanks a lot man.

  • Nice vid. The Emerson wave is also used on some of the Spyderco models. :)

Is it even sharper than the Millie out of the box?

I can't imagine a sharper blade than the one on my BG-42 and S90V millies (out of the box, I mean).

    Regards,

    Julian

  • Hi Julian,

S30V Millie was just as sharp, the bg42 and s90v are scary sharp i believe. Millie was also a thinner blade, good for slicing, Emerson is more for hard use, at least that is what Emerson says:)

Waved Edura is also nice, p'Kal is not my thing but it was that interesting wave.

  • great job bro!

  • thanks bro!

  • 5/5

I like how it can display it'self and stands with the blade down without touching. And the edge looks like it's pretty sharp!

  • Yes man, the sharpest i've got.

This will be my knife for a long time, it's allmost perfect.

  • from the excellent photos you took, my guess was that it was dang sharp.

    :)

  • thanks. it won't stay sharp i'm affraid, i'll use it a lot, but lansky sharpener does a good job, mentains the angle of sharpening and stuff.

i knew Spyderco and Kershaw sharpene their blades well, it's good to see Emerson knows business as well.

you would love this knife too man, it's a strong cutting machine.
