The biggest point of bringing up Joe the plumber is that he got Obama to admit he wants to "share the wealth." Most people would rather pay taxes to the government for essential services and give money to whatever charity they feel best about, but socialists think that they can make that choice better than you can.
It's not a very popular viewpoint, and it can hurt Obama.

Obama plan leans well toward a socalist slope..than what this country and dreams where founded on capitalism..
How much more taxes can be pounded into us as americans?A "successful tax" will be next..

Joe, you should have been a CEO for AIG. Keep it all and screw the little guy. This nut bag fails to realize if lower income people had more money in their pockets they could get that leaking pipe fixed and not use duct tape. That would be more money for Joe.

The only broken pipe in this country is socialism. "Spreading the wealth around" through government robbery....that's the problem. The so-called rich already pay 36% in taxes, 21% MORE THAN the "little guy" Socialism DOES NOT WORK and in lieu of patching it up, I say lets rip the pipe out altogether and force all Americans to go to work like I have to.

LOL. It's amazing Joe understands what being an American is all about. It's not about greed. If I work harder than you and make more than you, I am not required to pay a higher percent. FINALLY Americans are getting it. Sarah Palin's tax return revealed her and Todd made $170K last year. THIS ELECTION IS NOT about Washington elites, Harvard Graduates, etc. It's about real Americans like the Palins, like Joe the Plumber, who realize the only way to succeed is by our efforts, not by welfare.

Palins are the "real Americans"? They support a party that wants to secede from the Union. Sarah is an empty suit wearing $300 rose colored eyeglasses. In a state without income taxes where all the residents get checks from the government, she more qualified to be King of Saudi Arabia than President of the United States. (h/t Fareed Zakaria)

How many people using welfare and food stamps in shopping markets everyday do you see with "did up hair" and "did up nails" and designing clothes and jewelery, driving away in rent-to-own Cadillac Escalades? Real Americans make their own money and Sarah Palin can wear whatever THE HELL SHE WANTS as long as its paid for by MONEY SHE EARNED. We get our money from work. And your candidate wants us to get it from welfare. Get a job.
