I started to take a prescription ointment called triamcinolone acetonide for eczema a month or so ago, and just got hives today. Could it have caused my hives? Or was it more likely the muffin I had from a coffee shop today (preservatives and whatnot)?
I got a couple of hives in my arm and it was very itchy. I got it via stress.
First day I tried Calamine Lotion which is excellent.
But to get rid of swelling & redness I am using Hydrocortisone Cream its helped I am on the 3rd day of using hydrocortisone cream and its really helping.
Also I put teaspoon and little water in cup mix & drink 3 times a day. Drinking Green Tea & Peppermint also helps. And drinking Apple Cider Vinegar helps.
@rovershirt3 Thank god I thought I thought I was the only one. Yeah, sometimes I even get them if it's hot inside. It's heat period not just the sun ugh.
@NoneAvailableHere omg yeah i know, if im working out to hard or somthing ill just start breaking out. but its gotten better since ive started taking meds.
i've been getting hives all over my body for days. i started taking benedryl and it helped. i didn't take it all day today so i thought it went away. now at 12:30 am they are spreading again. it did start the same time i started getting a sore throat. i still have a sore throat and am starting to get headaches. i washed all my sheets yesterday so i thought that was the problem. no i don't know what is going on. i have never had hives before. it freaked me out. huge welts all over me!!
What a quack!

I get red spots all around my body when I am in the heat for too long.
They burn in an itchy kind of way.
Are those hives ?

Very helpful. I think I know now why suddenly I've been getting hives suddenly. The weird thing is they come and go within 20 minutes.
