I remember Victory Park as a little boy before we moved away from Stockton. We lived off of W. Acacia and Pershing. The neighborhood still looks nice. Sadly, other parts of Stockton, not so much due to way too many apartments that were built in the '70's and '80's. Thankfully, at least the last time I drove around (2-3 years ago) the Victory Park area looked like time had not touched it.

I grew up in The victory park area in the 70's as a little girl, we would walk to Victory Park in the mornings load our wagon up with bologna sandwiches and bait for the crawdads in the pond and not come home til dark, and trick or treating at all these beautiful homes and coming home with huge bags full of candy! Hide and seek we could hide around the block at night and feel safe. Those were the good old days. It just isn't the same in the area anymore. Sad. I still luv a trip to the museum tho

From morning to night, people walk around Victory Park and the Haggin Art Gallery & Museum, and for people who love California, homes are affordable.

gorgeous!!!! always wanted to live in California, i use to live for 20 years in cold canada and now i am back to my origins . :) i am living now in europe and love it too. just wish i could go back again to california for a visit at least. it must be expensif to live there.:(
