The Congo River is a very powerful river and I am so happy that a couple of Pakistanis have an interest in this river. I am also astonished. The Congo river is the deepest river in the world and the 8th longest river in the world too. There are lots of wild life from crocodiles to hyppos. Anyone can swim, if you are good at it, but there are places where you must not swim. Else you will drown.

@Kev2077 not true (ur measurements) i just saw a few days ago where a group of scientists and professional kayaker's went down the river with sonar equipment and found trenches well over 40 MILES deep. as deep as the ocean trenches. the currents are so strong that parts of the river isolate fish populations preventing inter-breeding so theoretically the isolated fish (millions of species) are forced into "super-evolution" where the fish evolve in decades not centuries or millions of years!

it's 750 feet deep. which is still really deep for river. deepest part of the ocean is about 36,000 feet.

That is amazing footage. I wonder how wide and how deep that is. It seems like it is only turbulent in that section of the river due to the rock formations. When the camera pans down the river the water seems calmer.

Its between the Congo DRC and Republic of Congo. Kinshasa is the capital of Congo DRC. Congo River is the border of these two countries.....
