Hey Folks,Great video, looks like everyone had a brilliant time.Getting that fire started is a whole new feeling.Keep making the videos,,,Love em all,,,Thanks
Looks like a great time. I've had the good fortune to visit the U.K. about four times now. I've always been treated well, and it's always been a blast. Watching this video, I can't help but feel like part of a family. I like the Clint Eastwood hat, Ash. Those things look better on you than they do on me. Keep it coming, and I'll keep watching. My favorite British phrase: "Mind the Gap." You guys are the best.
@dunfamalb hehe.. glad you like it here in the UK. I'm not the chap wearing the hat (that is Justin) I was doing nearly all the filming that day so you don't see me as I'm behind the camera, apart from near the end I was helping people learn fire by friction (I'm the guy in the grey top with knife around neck at the end).
@NaturalBushcraft Sorry about that, partner. I did a doubletake to make sure, and I still got it wrong. I'm recovering from heart bypass surgery, and I've been spending lots of time reviewing your videos, so you would think by now I'd be able to tell you two apart.
@dunfamalb Not a problem :) I'm glad your enjoying our videos and I wish you a speedy recovery. Just to let you know it's just me left doing it now (Justin is no longer part of NaturalBushcraft).
@NaturalBushcraft Oh man, sorry to hear that. Ah well, change must come, eh? I'm sure you'll carry on the project just fine. I look forward to more of your productions.
@dunfamalb I'm happier for it :) ... I've been running it on my own for over a year now I think, added the forum and done a few more videos, but life is getting of the way!.. This is just a hobby, I want to do more videos but struggle for time.
@selfmadeboys88 Glad you said that :) It was a very memorable moment for me to be honest - it was the first day I met that chap Matt who now is a dear friend and he did something I'd never seen before; he create an ember with the bowdrill set on his first ever attempt in his life, not even popping the drill out of the socket once! It was a pleasure to teach him and nice that he brought his young son along to experience the woods also.
@CiaranRooney125 Your 'Cornish Is' comment made me laugh! :) Love it. Good luck with the bowdrill bud, don't forget to search for my video: "A Guide to Fire by Friction" :)
You've just reminded me to do something I've been meaning to do for a while (put a Made in Cornwall badge with flag on the NaturalBushcraft website :)
Everything about the British Isles just totally kicks ass... (save the same Illuminati big brother crap we have here in the US) - your society, your climate & countryside, your cities, your music, your humor, your language & accent, your women, and your women, oh and did I mention your women? GAWD I wish I was born there.
YAY!!! :D That was just so joyous to watch :D Got your email a while ago Ash and tried to register at your forum but the damn thing just kept cocking up :( I am going to set up a new Google email account and try again, i'll hail you guys when i'm registered :) Great work, LOVE IT :):):) ~PaganGlade~
@landlockedviking lol.. a comical moment - the kid had a butter knife with no cutting edge, funny he decided to try cut his Dad's head off whilst he was doing fire by friction.
This is brilliant. I'll have to get myself down to a meet sometime and try my luck at some different methods etc... to what I'm used to up here in the Northwest. Looks good fun!
