A friend recommended this. It's wonderful. The song and game are perfect for each other, both being about our fundamental hubris. It wasn't just Shinra the planet was mad at - it was the whole of humanity.

@AllSortsOfLicorice I completely agree with you. I was a little disappointed when Advent Children came out (well, a lot disappointed, but for other reasons) because of how it confirmed that everyone survived the disaster. I felt like it kind of lost some of the punch the original had when you were left wondering if humanity even deserved to carry on.

This is REALLY well done. I enjoyed it a lot. I think people often forget that, despite all the individual 'villain' characters in the FFVII universe, the overarching evil that is responsible for every single one of them has always been the Shinra Corporation. This video does a really good job of emphasizing that fact.

I Gotta say it's not exactly your editing that drew me to subscribe you but...

Your scene selection and the songs you use for the amvs that you create.

Because you really don't have to wow and astound us if you can pull us in with the right scenes.

But just using this song for shinra was brilliant.

Can I just say that I LOVE this video? Not only does the song itself effectively describe some of the 'sins' of the modern man's perspective, but the message resonates magnificently with the story of FFVII and is an indicator of what it was about the game that rang true for many fans. On top of all that, your editing was incredible and appropriate. It's so awesome to find a video that breaks away from the mediocre norm. :D Thanks, and keep up the great work.

Wow, this is really nicely put together! :D And as someone else said, the song was little rough on the ears ...but fits so well and wrenches at the gut once it gets going. (And yeah, that's just personal preference on song - I don't think I'd heard it before, but I think I like it now :3)

I got the fmv cutscenes a while back and they're the best quality I've ever found, but for the in-game stuff I usually just use Bluelaguna.
