I agree wholeheartedly with balance budget. I also feel that we need a 2 term limit for Congress. This would get fresh ideas going to Washington, and not the same old, same old that is going on now.

Congressional members do not care what we think no matter what we say or how loudly we say it. The only thing they will pay attention to is MONEY. MONEY SPEAKS. If enough people stopped paying the income tax for one month, the government would get our attention. Does anybody have the guts to put their money where their mouth is?

AMEN Vern! I'm also for a war payroll tax! It is immoral to pass this debt (along with all the rest of it) on to future generations! If enacted, the war in Afghanistan would last about a week..

I would also be in favor of a ban on "tag on" provisions to legislative bills.  Each proposal should be agreed or disagreed to on its own merit.
