how do you draw it that detailed? I have a pencil to draw with the pc... but that way I can't get what I want to draw! do you use a pencil with screen to draw it on? cause only that way I could get anywhere near that!
hey this is a really great vid! you have an awesome style and i love the design. im just a littlee curious... how many layers did you use for this piece?
@justskate2292 Thanks! I probably used 3 layers. 1 layer for the sketch, 1 layer for the tone/black and white shading, then another layer for adding the colour hue.
sorry, but i have another question^^ i watched your video again and which toll is the "airbrush" toll. and the shading, did you shade it with the airbrush tool?
oh, and where can i enable the pressure sensitivity for the flow control? i have a wacom bamboo fun.
@MacMaster1994 If you go to the Brush tool (B) you can find what looks like a blurry brush. That's usually an airbrush tool. Look for it in the brush pallet. To enable brush sensitivity, open up the brush window (F5). Go to Window > Brush. Check the transfer box, and you can change opacity or flow to have pressure sensitivity. Under shape dynamics, you can set the shape to be controlled by pressure sensitivity as well. Hope this helps, if not, you can always use the photoshop help. ;)
@MacMaster1994 The only tools I've used were: A Hard Round Brush at low opacity, with pressure sensitivity enabled on the flow control, and a simple airbrush mostly. All done in Photoshop, and with my Wacom Intuos4 Tablet.
can you please explain how you colored it? i'm trying it now for hours, but i cant figure out, why you colored the whole painting grey and i also cant figure out how you put color on it then :(
@MacMaster1994 No problem! The way I colour is pretty simple, I like to make the picture in all black and white because i can worry about colour later, and focus on contrast and shadow, and highlights. To colour, I simply add a "Multiply" or "Color" Layer overtop of the layer's I'm working on, and add the colours, like having some sort of film overtop. To make a colour layer, simply make a new layer, and change it's mode to "Color". Try experimenting with different layer modes. Hope this helps!
I love watching these but I wish the people would actually talk while doing them. The settings you used on your brush would be nice to know When you switch between layers or if you switch at all that kind of thing.
Anyway great painting I really did enjoy the show.
