  • Nice vid! Your instrument looks similar to the ones I build!

  • The comment on mini mando was referring to a "bluegrass chop", a type of rhythm played on the mandolin. Wingledingus is right, there is not much chop in these mini mandos.

  • Hey Hank, good to hear from you. Yea, that comment on mini mando was referring to a "bluegrass chop", a type of rhythm played on the mandolin. Wingledingus is right, there is not much chop in these mini mandos.

  • there's probably not much chop in that thing is there?

  • @WingleDingus - " was referring to a "bluegrass chop", a type of rhythm played on the mandolin. Wingledingus is right, there is not much chop in these mini mandos."

  • Haha, "portable mandolin" seems kind of redundant, but I get that it's supposed to be the backpacker design.

  • Sounds nice. But all seriousness aside, it seems to me that a mandolin is small enough as it is!

  • Well, the obvious benefits of investing in a $200-$300 travel mandolin are that you can take it anywhere without worrying about causing harm to your $3,000-plus mandolin and it's very light and small for camping trips, cookouts, beach gatherings, etc.

  • i love mandolins!! i just ordered one. nice playing!

  • Very nice playing, I really like those backpacker mandolins! Thanx for sharing, D.
