I watched the Christmas Cottage movie this past weekend on tv, and I was very disappointed. I have always thought that Thom wanted to portray a Christian image, and the movie had quite a few curse words in it. I would not have expected this from Thom. Although I do still love Thom's paintings, I am quite sure that I will not watch any more movies that he makes.

Thomas Kinkade openly states that he is a Christian and that GOD gave him the ability to paint. Thom is the one who brought religion into it by making that statement. I simply said that this movie went against Christian values becase of the profanity and that I was disappointed that Thom would do such a thing.

Because I am a child of God, I DO have a right to be disappointed when I see, or in this case hear, another person sin. I do not claim to be without sin. The Bible in the book of Luke 6:43 says, 'For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit'. Thom's movie is NOT Christian because it contains corrupt fruit (foul language).

Don't you remember that when the movie 'Gone With the Wind' was released, there was a huge scandal over Rhett Butler saying, 'Frankly my dear, I don't give a ...' The year was 1939. It is troubling to me that the morals of our society could deteriorate that much in only 71 years. I wish that morals were as high now as they were then.

As we all know, from experiments with the telephone game, stories change over time when they are spread by word of mouth, like those from the bible. Also, it is completely contradictory. First, it says sin and go to hell, then in the New Testament it says that Jesus died for our sins, and we are forgiven if we repent. That doesn't work for me. No one deserves eternal torment for cussing.

This was a great movie about the artist Thomas Kinkade! If any of you who have put these crappy comments about the movie actually knew of his work, maybe you would understand the movie a little bit better. People who make crappy comments about this movie obviously can't find the point in any movie, and you can't look deeper into any other movie's like others can. Thomas Kinkade is one of the best artists of our time. He just wanted to tell his story, and many people wanted to listen.
