That has got to be one of the most naive thing Ive heard. Religin has its place; I think it works as a set of moral beliefs and guidelines. People just take it far too seriously.
Also, if there was no religion, people would find some other reason to have wars, etc. Its human nature. We arent perfect. Some are just... less perfect than others. Such as the people above.

The reason he's so good at it is BECAUSE he's a "pussy". They view him as innocent and not knowing what he's talking about. That's how he gets away with asking the questions in the first place.
If they chose someone who had more "intestinal fortitude" as you put it then they'd have rubbed them up the wrong way and probably stopped them from filming.
