i currently own a Aria acoustic and a Epiphone Les paul Studio. im saving up for a new Acoustic/electric guitar. i have three favorite type. Alvarez, Martin, And gibson, but alvarez is my favorite. after i get my alvarez i saving for a MIM strat. after i get that im taking a break from buying guitars and ill save up for a car and weed
I have this exact guitar. (in sunburst) All I can say is if you are considering buying one, DO IT! Mine sounds and plays wonderful, and holds a tune for ever and ever and ever......
Hey I've got a question for yall. I've been playing electrics and acoustics for about 2 years now. I have a few fine electric guitars, but my acoustic is a lower grade Samick with low action. I've got a really good deal on a AA RD20SC for a hundred bucks. Its used and sounds great, but looks like the bridge is pulling up the body a bit. I wouldn't even have noticed until the guy said something about it. I'd really like to go for it but not sure what the long term effects would be. Any help guys?
I love Alverez acoustics! I own a alverez Rd series, very full tone and great sustain! For the price im satisfied for sure! Action could be better! Nothing a little professional adjustment cant fix tho!
I just got mine today and i have to say that this Guitar rocks. I ordered it online and was worried after seeing this demo but I have to say that it is a Gem. It is incredibly bright and has a lot of sustain. I don't think you can beat the price for this quality.
I have an Alvarez acoustic as well. My favorite strings are either Martins or D'addarios. Both have great sound and don't cost an arm and a leg. The Elixir strings that come on them might be fine to some, but I prefer the ones mentioned earlier.
I've used Martin SP light gauge strings a few times, very good strings. If you were going to go with a light gauge string, those are the ones I'd suggest. The best bet is to use several kinds and make your own choice. I haven't been playing regularly for very long, I just like the D'addario EXP17 mediums quite a bit.
dreadnoughts are like 'standard' shape guitars you can also get 'Folk' shapes which have a rounder base (Or as some of my friends say 'a fatter ass') the folk guitars have a smaller length than dreadnoughts as well
awesome guitar .. ive had mine for a few years now. I use it mostly for shows and recording .. cuz i love how it feels and the wonderful sound it produces. Otherwise, it stays in the case .. lol!
besides, this particular guitar has a solid sitka spruce top. If you don't know about different varieties, sitka responds better when played hard than most top woods. It wouldn't sound as good fingerpicked. If you want to fingerpick, look at a folk alvarez with rosewood or a Silver Creek guitar.

@cliffsasexybeast I agree on all points . I have one also and the natural sustain (without electric) is amazing.

I didnt kno if it would buzz with light gauge?? Thnx for the reply tho!
dsvogel420 2 years ago
I don't recall any buzzing, but each guitar is different. I'm sure if it does, it can be fixed. These are fine guitars.

hes trying to kill that guitar!
he is like bashing the strings
he should have showed what it sounds like fingerpicked and stuff.
shizzle412 4 years ago
thatsh is style, and most comfortable way of playing.. what the fuck is so wrong about that?
