You are correct to choose Glock! However I must have missed the reason behind all the knock off tactical gear. Not very inconspicuous.Your gear screams "Shoot me first !" ..... Pun intended.
To use a 9mm or 40 glock. That is the the question.
What the hell happened to your hand? It looks like you took a rail road spike and hammered it in there! Did you need stiches after? That hand to hurt like hell.
I love how people always harp on about "oh me the 9mm is such a sissy round, it's so small compared to the .45..." If I shot even one round of 9mm in your center mass I promise you will not be fine. Hell even .22 would make most people drop to the floor.
lol, I gotta stop watching your videos. I already bought several knives because of your reviews. Their shine - that you so skillfully bring out on your tabletop reviews - makes them hard to resist. Anyway, I fired from this model several times at a gun range and it is one of my favorites along with the Sig P220. Both are great and easy to use.
@eyeofth3b3hold3r didn't think it would make a difference from any other forum or website. i was just seeing how the used market looked as far as demand and it looks like there is a good amount of demand. thanks for the concern though.
Making me miss my gen3 glock 17 I personally put 1500-2000 rounds through it mostly I personally reloaded not one jam.. Beautifully engineered weapon when you have to count on something when life threatening situation is infront of you I'd personally recommend a glock
i'm not really a glock guy. I mostly shoot Sig/Beretta, so I'm not as used to a glock.. For me, Glocks have a bad trigger, rougher recoil, bad ergonomics. However, Glocks are very reliable. Sigs are as well, so I would take my 229 over a Glock
@1pelletgun Licensing for firearms is on a state by state basis. Some states require licensing, others dont'. Most states require a CCW if you carry concealed. Again cost will vary. The G19 is slightly smaller than a G17, barrel is about 1/2 inch shorter, and the grip frame is shorter sacrificing two rounds of ammo.
@1pelletgun i cant speak for the rest of your questions but the difference between a glock 17 and glock 19 is the 19 is a "compact model" of the 17, its slightly smaller and comes with a 15 round magazine instead of a 17 round magazine, the glock 19 is the "mid size" of the glock 9mm family where as the 17 is the full size "duty pistol"
nice. I like the 17 as a primary carry weapon very much. It's like a Porsche, which unlike a Ferrari, doesn't need to be tuned up every time you drive it. It just works.
I carry a 39 as a backup and it's a bit less accurate, which does weigh on me sometimes. I think of them as Big Brother and Little Brother. Such a well-mannered and helpful family.
I tuned in as I was interested to see how the Glock did, and its a good film, but where did that knife come from at 4:30, was a pistol not enough!? And what's this about needing to use the gun wounded some day, and the comment about having some fun by shooting at the head?
Maybe it all just sounds a bit weird to someone who lives in a country where handguns and combat knives are illegal....
@Loganlee23 i would recommend g17 since you ant get your hand that high up on a sig grip..so the g17 would be more controllable..but thats just my opinion
Best pistol ever. Is it my favorite? Absolutely not but it is without question the most reliable pistol I have ever used. My department uses 17's and 19's (rare though) and has the option of a 26 for off duty. Love the 17, it is ugly but hey gets the job done.
the Glock grip is slanted for the bore to axis ratio...for true combat grip with rapid fire..one of the best grip/ergonomics for tactical shooting...taught at Fort Bragg
I carry Sig...not a good grip, but I am used to it......
LOL...this is hilarious....practice wounded? its funny how people are so "proficient" when targets aren't shooting back...this guys would 'sh**' on himself when someone returns fire....and yet the best test.....combat stance with a 4" blade....get some...
I actually don't care for the glock 17. I have one and its fun to shoot but the grip angle was never very comfortable for my small hands and I can only get like 7 inch groups at 15 yards becuase of it. I can do alot better with a 1911 or 38 revolver.
@MUSICALGUNNUT45 I hate the glock 17 grip even with the new backstrap system. Pick up a Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm. It feels great in your hands its like it was made for smaller hands.
@battlefieldchris I might sometime but im kind of old fashioned when it comes to guns so im probably just gonna stick with my 1911. I can shoot it great and it feels better in my hand than anything else Iv'e ever held.

@ifuhearmyshotimissed Yes he is wearing ear-plug type protection, you can briefly see it in part of the video when he glances sideways when hes doing a close-up.

good vid nutn i really like all your vids man fun to watch i love glock i am thinking of getting another one i have a glock 21 i am thinking of getting a glock 17 too or a glock 22 not sure on witch yet but i fig it out lol well just wanted to say good vid man
@krlorica hold them side by side, if they are exactly the same, then yes. There are companies that make barrels for glocks that are much greater than the 0.4" difference betwis compact and full size glocks.
But if i may ask, Why? You still end up with the same over all length, shorter sight radius, and a lesser capacity.
i love my glock 17. as a former usaf F 117a/ F-16 mechanic, now Marine corps Huey and Cobra mechanic i totally like like to thank nutnfancy for his service. 13 years more for me until retirement
if you are not in Iraq or Afghanistan while you shot this video, with the way you are dressed, and with the para military speech, you are a dildo. Not glad that you stepped up from airsoft. Enlist jackass
@nutnfancy i appreciate the defense of your brother, being a retired ltcol of the usaf and all, but i maybe i missed something watching all these videos that you all dont want trolls. calling someone a moron kind of seems to me you're fueling the fire. ignore unwanted behavior perhaps? or just delete the comment, just sayin..love the vids and the dedication regardless :D
@thaddeusabear Great comment, thad! I get your point and DO agree, but basically anyone with videos on YouTube will know that there is definitely a certain percentage of trolling/morons/idiots/smack talkers that come with the territory. Most of it IS ignored..the vast majority, but occasionally, I will bark at someone for sport. Believe me though..I don't have enough time in the day to rip into most of them. -- Veri
@thaddeusabear lol? so giving his statement as moron is adding more fuel to the fire? what if he is very right on thinking that person is a moron? Just lolling at your comment of adding fuel to the fire. Other than that you a very badass viewer. P.s.= ahhhh idk what is all this about but pretty much i can give you other ways of looking at a subject.
@sonicpunisher What an unpleasant creature you must be.I checked your channel and you seem to do nothing but belittle people. Please keep your negativity to yourself.
@sonicpunisher You should really find out who Nutnfancy is before making uninformed comments like these. If you really are as pro military as you make yourself out to be, you'd be coming back and apologizing for your comment and thanking Nutn for his service. Unless you're just a troll of course.
@sonicpunisher There are many, many, many citizens back home which can out perform soldiers and marines.
Quite frankly, your elliteist attitude is ignorant to say the least. It is disheartening to find some military that think way that you do, and you're probably not even military. They fight for the American way of life, and to protect the constitution, but when citizens exercise those rights, they are called dildos and jackasses.
Anti logical, anti reason, and teetering on psychotic.
@Southern661 ahh... no there aren't "many citizens back home which can out perform soldiers are marines" , buying a bunch of guns and being a marksman does not qualify as training and does not teach an individual to deal with life threatening stressful situations or the constant security oriented boredom inducing procedures that soldiers master, check yourself. ...and for clarification I don't consider police or ex-military to be "civilians"
@sonicpunisher Kid you should show a little more respect for the men and women that defend your right to be a badass over the internet. This man sacrificed 20+ years of his life defending this country. I gave 6 and wish I did more. There's not much more insulting than telling someone that served that he/she didn't. If you don't know, ask, don't just assume you know what you're taking about.
I never will doubt the accuracy of a Glock, I was at the range a few months ago and was shooting with a guy that had a Glock in .40 (I cant remember the exact model number) anyway, he shot dead a groundhog that wonder onto the range at just under 100 yards... best shot I've seen with a handgun in quite some time.
Tough Question: I do not own a Glock. I think if your going to have a current gun collection - you should have at least one Glock in your collection.. You should also have a 1911 in your collection.
Now which Glock should I get for my gun collection ?
Simply shooting the gun is fun, plus its a useful skill. Secondly of course is the protection aspect. Violence is unfortunately sometimes necessary to protect your life and the life of your family, but only in the face of imminent danger.
Are you serious? Who protects their family? A person who cares about his/her family obviously. It's really not that high of a price point. Guns are a bit pricey, but ammo isn't bad. And guns maintain their value really well as long as they are properly maintained.
@bankypunk Well after someones 18 they most likely go off to college and live somewhere else. Maybe they care about they're family but i don't think they are going to live with them because they own a hand gun. Well, the thing is, from what i hear at least, what you say is true, however properly maintained seems like it would mean routinely taking the gun apart.
You do realize that when people grow up and get on their own, they start their OWN families right? You get married, you have kids, those people are YOUR FAMILY. That's who I'm talking about protecting. Like when I was a kid my father owned guns to protect my mom, my siblings, and me. Now I'm adult and I intend to do the same thing. It's not like you cease to ever have a family again once you move out on your own.
@bankypunk Oh I see what you mean. Well that makes a bit of sense. But then the whole argument of having guns around children comes into play. And another question is why do people buy multiple guns? It seems that any gun worth shit could defend adaquetly, so why do people need an entire arsenal?
A competent gun owner would never leave their guns accessible to young children. That's what gun safes, trigger locks, etc are for. You also have to teach your kids that guns are not toys and teach them gun safety when they get old enough to shoot.
As far as multiple guns, its mostly a collecting thing. But different guns also have different uses For example, a .22 is good for target shooting, a 12 gauge shotgun is good for home defense, a .40 pistol is good for concealed carry
@bankypunk Couldn't a .40 pistol work for home defense as well? I don't really see any reason that if it would be good during a mugging it wouldn't be good during a home invasion or something.
@elementsk8rdude All it would take would be one range session and you'd understand, I mean personal defense is a big reason for gun ownership, but even if I had my own private security watching me and my home 24/7 I'd still participate in the hobby, it's a ton of fun
@elementsk8rdude You have never shot for fun? It is a blast to go to a range and shoot for skill. Also competitions are very fun. Your statement is like saying a baseball bat is used for violence because I heard a man got beat to death with one. I grew up shooting . I've shot since I was freaking 4! Guess how many people I've shot at? Zero! Just shoot for fun and if I ever need to defend myself or my family. I have a .40 Glock within arms reach right now.
I would love to see a Nutnfancy/Hickok45 combined Top 10 video or something. Hands down my two fav guys on here. I'm sure they live very far away from one another. It would be fun though. Keep up the good work!
Giggle7046: you're wrong there dude, check out the rest of his video's... He's a very respectful man within you're Air Force and very dedicated to his TNP followers, I'm in the UK and always watching his clips... Just a shame they banned pistols over here :(....
@Schaffer17 it is great EXCEPT for conceal carry. It is sand paper on your skin and clothes. i have changed up to the Pachmayr Tactical Grip Glove. I have started shooting better with it, very repeatable grip.
Just wondering.... I love my g19 size for CC... however if im target practicing I'd enjoy the barrel length of the G17... can i put a G17 barrel in a G19? (both in 9mm of course)
i love my glock 17, ive had for almost a year and still cant get tierd of it, i like many designs but the glock just fits my hand perfect, im a 1911 fan but dont care for the grip angle, my hands just dont agree with it. nutn your ideals in all areas are perfect i totally dig all your vids, keep it up bro
I fairly recently bought a new glock 17 9 mm and i have to say..this video is pretty accurate of what i have seen for myself so far...I bought the gun and took it home and cleaned it up quick, then went out to the range and put around 300 rounds throught it with zero jams or issues of any kind..I was shooting slightly high and to the left for a bit though, due to getting used to the trigger pull..All in all a great gun, very reliable, easy to clean..Just a ton of fun
@xXALECXx1 The 40 calibre is larger, however, a larger calibre doesn't neccessarily denote better penetration or velocity. The 9mm should never be discounted for these reasons : 1.) It's velocity is higher than most pistol catridges 2.) It is a common calibre that is economical to shoot and is easily obtained 3.) It has been picked by NATO as the primary pistol calibre 4.) It has excellent penetration due to it's speed 5.) You can carry far more rounds than with other calibres
I think also a 9mm is made to wound the enemy, at that point if they wish to save him they must use two other soldiers to get the target to medical aid.
@KingSparta2 Good point. The .223 is another example of a "wounding round". Like you stated, a wounded man requires one or two other men to tend to his injuries, thus taking them out of combat. A dead man requires no care. You could potentially turn one victim into 3 noncombatants, and perhaps even more with MEDEVAC, ect.
@anthonyrothwell I have a Glock 22 and feel its a good gun, how ever I must say its a touchy round. If you tap the bullet down into the case it will KB on you, If you get a hot load from the manufactuer it will kb! on you. I'm not trying to knock to 40 as I like it and own one, but the 9mm is next on my list due to its reliability.
@roshi98 Ranges very very rarely clean their guns, I had the same experience. i rented their gun and i got a few jams. You could see the build up when the gun was racked back. brought it back to them, they cleaned it and i had zero issues. Nutnfancy has said that some of his friends don't bother cleaning it which you really don't have too, just understand that while at a range it has thousands upon thousands of rounds shot through it.
Just commented on your Ruger LCP video, and on that great little gun. Went to the gunshow yesterday and purchased a Glock 17, and I am LOVING it! Took it immediately to the range and shot right out of the box. I did experience one "feeding jam" however. The instructor at the range dissasembled it, oiled it, and it was good to go. Other than that, it was pretty smooth all the way around. Should all semi-auto pistols be lubricated before they are shot the first time?
You are correct to choose Glock! However I must have missed the reason behind all the knock off tactical gear. Not very inconspicuous.Your gear screams "Shoot me first !" ..... Pun intended.

What do you think of the Glock 34 compared to the 17? Basically a 17 with a longer sight radius and adjustable rear.
modex20 8 months ago
sir can i use my glock 22 barrel to my glock 23????
krlorica 8 months ago
@krlorica hold them side by side, if they are exactly the same, then yes. There are companies that make barrels for glocks that are much greater than the 0.4" difference betwis compact and full size glocks.
But if i may ask, Why? You still end up with the same over all length, shorter sight radius, and a lesser capacity.

@nutnfancy i appreciate the defense of your brother, being a retired ltcol of the usaf and all, but i maybe i missed something watching all these videos that you all dont want trolls. calling someone a moron kind of seems to me you're fueling the fire. ignore unwanted behavior perhaps? or just delete the comment, just sayin..love the vids and the dedication regardless :D
thaddeusabear 7 months ago 19
@thaddeusabear Great comment, thad! I get your point and DO agree, but basically anyone with videos on YouTube will know that there is definitely a certain percentage of trolling/morons/idiots/smack talkers that come with the territory. Most of it IS ignored..the vast majority, but occasionally, I will bark at someone for sport. Believe me though..I don't have enough time in the day to rip into most of them. -- Veri

Southern661 8 months ago

I never will doubt the accuracy of a Glock, I was at the range a few months ago and was shooting with a guy that had a Glock in .40 (I cant remember the exact model number) anyway, he shot dead a groundhog that wonder onto the range at just under 100 yards... best shot I've seen with a handgun in quite some time.
bharlan2002 10 months ago
@bharlan2002 : What a prick. The groundhog had EVERY right to be on that range.

Tough Question: I do not own a Glock. I think if your going to have a current gun collection - you should have at least one Glock in your collection.. You should also have a 1911 in your collection.
Now which Glock should I get for my gun collection ?

i dont know much about gun culture but...what exactly do you use the guns for? It seems theres only a limited amount of things besides violence
elementsk8rdude 11 months ago
@elementsk8rdude
Simply shooting the gun is fun, plus its a useful skill. Secondly of course is the protection aspect. Violence is unfortunately sometimes necessary to protect your life and the life of your family, but only in the face of imminent danger.
bankypunk 11 months ago
@bankypunk who protects their family? I guess shooting the gun might be fun but that seems like a high price point for something like, that.
elementsk8rdude 11 months ago
@elementsk8rdude
Are you serious? Who protects their family? A person who cares about his/her family obviously. It's really not that high of a price point. Guns are a bit pricey, but ammo isn't bad. And guns maintain their value really well as long as they are properly maintained.
bankypunk 11 months ago
@bankypunk Well after someones 18 they most likely go off to college and live somewhere else. Maybe they care about they're family but i don't think they are going to live with them because they own a hand gun. Well, the thing is, from what i hear at least, what you say is true, however properly maintained seems like it would mean routinely taking the gun apart.
elementsk8rdude 11 months ago
@elementsk8rdude
It's not like you cease to ever have a family again once you move out on your own.
bankypunk 11 months ago
@bankypunk Oh I see what you mean. Well that makes a bit of sense. But then the whole argument of having guns around children comes into play. And another question is why do people buy multiple guns? It seems that any gun worth shit could defend adaquetly, so why do people need an entire arsenal?
elementsk8rdude 11 months ago
@elementsk8rdude
A competent gun owner would never leave their guns accessible to young children. That's what gun safes, trigger locks, etc are for. You also have to teach your kids that guns are not toys and teach them gun safety when they get old enough to shoot.
As far as multiple guns, its mostly a collecting thing. But different guns also have different uses For example, a .22 is good for target shooting, a 12 gauge shotgun is good for home defense, a .40 pistol is good for concealed carry
bankypunk 11 months ago
@bankypunk Couldn't a .40 pistol work for home defense as well? I don't really see any reason that if it would be good during a mugging it wouldn't be good during a home invasion or something.
I agree with you on the first paragraph/
elementsk8rdude 11 months ago
@elementsk8rdude To piss off the gun haters.lol
brian721300 10 months ago
@elementsk8rdude All it would take would be one range session and you'd understand, I mean personal defense is a big reason for gun ownership, but even if I had my own private security watching me and my home 24/7 I'd still participate in the hobby, it's a ton of fun
SavageGerbil 11 months ago
@elementsk8rdude You have never shot for fun? It is a blast to go to a range and shoot for skill. Also competitions are very fun. Your statement is like saying a baseball bat is used for violence because I heard a man got beat to death with one. I grew up shooting . I've shot since I was freaking 4! Guess how many people I've shot at? Zero! Just shoot for fun and if I ever need to defend myself or my family. I have a .40 Glock within arms reach right now.

how did you like the grip tape on this G17? ive been thinking about getting some for mine but have never heard how people feel about them

I fairly recently bought a new glock 17 9 mm and i have to say..this video is pretty accurate of what i have seen for myself so far...I bought the gun and took it home and cleaned it up quick, then went out to the range and put around 300 rounds throught it with zero jams or issues of any kind..I was shooting slightly high and to the left for a bit though, due to getting used to the trigger pull..All in all a great gun, very reliable, easy to clean..Just a ton of fun

which is bigger the 40cal or 9mm ??? plz write back thx
xXALECXx1 1 year ago
@xXALECXx1 40 cal
bodybuilda44 1 year ago
@xXALECXx1 The 40 calibre is larger, however, a larger calibre doesn't neccessarily denote better penetration or velocity. The 9mm should never be discounted for these reasons : 1.) It's velocity is higher than most pistol catridges 2.) It is a common calibre that is economical to shoot and is easily obtained 3.) It has been picked by NATO as the primary pistol calibre 4.) It has excellent penetration due to it's speed 5.) You can carry far more rounds than with other calibres
TrueBlueJMS 1 year ago
@TrueBlueJMS
I think also a 9mm is made to wound the enemy, at that point if they wish to save him they must use two other soldiers to get the target to medical aid.
KingSparta2 1 year ago
@KingSparta2 Good point. The .223 is another example of a "wounding round". Like you stated, a wounded man requires one or two other men to tend to his injuries, thus taking them out of combat. A dead man requires no care. You could potentially turn one victim into 3 noncombatants, and perhaps even more with MEDEVAC, ect.
TrueBlueJMS 1 year ago
@xXALECXx1 a 40 caliber handgun? 40cal has a bigger bullet in the catreidge and more grain gun powder in it too sorry for spelling mistakes.
40 cal is BIGGER than the 9mm
40 cal in my opinion is a better choice than the 9mm caliber
anthonyrothwell 1 year ago
@anthonyrothwell I have a Glock 22 and feel its a good gun, how ever I must say its a touchy round. If you tap the bullet down into the case it will KB on you, If you get a hot load from the manufactuer it will kb! on you. I'm not trying to knock to 40 as I like it and own one, but the 9mm is next on my list due to its reliability.
akalda1 1 year ago
@anthonyrothwell Glock was designed as a 9mm, .40 will wear faster and Glock is more reliable in a 9mm.

Are ejection failures common with the G17? I rented this weapon at the range to try it out and got 4 failures out of 100 rounds.
roshi98 1 year ago
@roshi98 Ranges very very rarely clean their guns, I had the same experience. i rented their gun and i got a few jams. You could see the build up when the gun was racked back. brought it back to them, they cleaned it and i had zero issues. Nutnfancy has said that some of his friends don't bother cleaning it which you really don't have too, just understand that while at a range it has thousands upon thousands of rounds shot through it.

What do you thing of the g19?
hboy828 1 year ago
Just commented on your Ruger LCP video, and on that great little gun. Went to the gunshow yesterday and purchased a Glock 17, and I am LOVING it! Took it immediately to the range and shot right out of the box. I did experience one "feeding jam" however. The instructor at the range dissasembled it, oiled it, and it was good to go. Other than that, it was pretty smooth all the way around. Should all semi-auto pistols be lubricated before they are shot the first time?
