His anolgy is flawed because according to this proposed legislation all they have to do is ACCUSE you of stealing 3 times and you are banned (or fined or do jail time which he neglected to mention) and they don't have to have any proof, they don't have to put you on trial and let you have your day in court and you aren't even allowed an chance to defend yourself. So it's not like stealing from a store at all.
A boycott is the only thing that will make the entertainment industry listen. When enough innocent hard working people are on the receiving end of ACTA, there will be enough momentum to organise a boycott.
