  • The first digit of a HK firearm's designation refers to the type of weapon it is, while the second refers to caliber. The HK 1x series of firearms are magazine-fed machine guns, while the 2x series are belt-fed machine guns. From this, the HK11 is a magazine-fed machine gun in 7.62x51mm, while the HK21 is a belt fed machine gun in 7.62x51mm, and the HK23 is a belt-fed machine gun in 5.56x41mm NATO. For the full list, check HKPro.

  • I used to had this gun in the army...is one of the best weapons compare with other 7.62mm and very very accurate in a long distance due to the fact that is heavy and the recoil is not high....but one of the main disadvantage is that when you have to sprint with that and all of the ammo is a very very painful thing to do!!

  • Its shit in black ops

  • handled that recoil like a champion, nice mate nice

  • damn good shot mad props!

  • luv dat sound!....:-)

  • Wunderszen :)

  • Wery Gud :)

  • Is that a reliable and accurate weapon?

  • @Nuclearwarhead357

I haven't stress-tested this firearm, so I really couldn't tell you much about the reliability.. In general, though, HK's are VERY reliable platforms, so you couldn't go wrong with one... Also, accuracy is kind of relative.. Again, I haven't exactly sat down on a bench to figure out the MOA it shoots, but for a lock-n'-load .308, it doesn't do too bad ;-).

  • @GMANinGA250 .308 jesus christ... good control shooting that full auto!

  • Now either you have a VERY strong arm or the HK-11 doesn't carry that much of a punch like the normal G3

  • @Tsagia

A combination of the two ;-)

In all honesty, the HK-11 is well balanced. It's not horrendously heavy, so there is still a decent amount of recoil, but the HK-11 is very well balanced and redirects the recoil back more so than up. I have yet to try that with a G3, though I will eventually... haha :-)

  • @GMANinGA250 You see I'm from Greece and the official rifle of our army is the

    G3(both A3 and A4).As expected we also have HK-11 and MG3.

I haven't been in the army yet,but friends keep telling me about the nasty recoil of the G3 and the fact that it's....LARGE and reckless but powerful. However I totally love the HK-11 from videos and photos I've seen.I can't figure out the difference of it compared to the HK-21 though.

  • @Tsagia

7.62x51 (7.62 NATO or .308 also) is the round the G3 fires. It's known to have a greater amount of recoil than the 5.56x45, which is what the M16/M4 fires (USA's main assault rifle). The main difference between the HK-11 and the HK-21 is that the HK-21 is belt-fed, meaning you have rounds linked together. It is a different feeding mechanism. The HK-11 is magazine fed, like the G3. In this video, I was using a drum magazine, which would also work in a G3, though a bit more recoil.. haha

  • @GMANinGA250 you are for the most part correct, the only thing you forgot to mention is that the hk-21 can also take the magazines the hk-11 takes, it's basically the universal version of the gun
