  • @Byrom93 floyd rose floating bridges help bro, best tremolo system

  • no matter what anyone says thats bad about u, i think ur a very great guitar player and ur methods r terrific! keep rolln with the vids. Thanks

  • O.O I think I have heared what you are teaching here played in a song omg bookmarked this for when I have a guitar at my hands standered tuning right? Btw may help if you tell us the tuning your in when you start the vid as well as fret number and string...I dunno if I'm being fussy but I fined that helps loads other than that I should get along just fine with this. Thank you. ^_^

  • @Byrom93 either you need to change your strings more often (1 month-2 months), clean your strings, or ultimately upgrade to higher gauge strings.

  • Is this still possible to do if I don't use a pick to play guitar?

  • @Sabbathfan1996 yes, it is very possibe. :)

  • @Sabbathfan1996 Well, yes and no. there are certain techniques that you cant do with your fingers such as alternate picking. You can pluck the string and make the sound with your fingers, but if you plan on getting any speed with it, i would use a pick.

  • @42littlebit

I can alternate pick with no pick. I used to do it all the time, then when I learned pinch harmonics, I switched back to the pick. I can sometimes do a pinch harmonic with no pick though.

  • @mechaghostman2 Try to do a Paul Gilbert Alt. picking lick with no pick :] im just saying your not going to be as fast without a pick

  • 1:21 - thats exactly how fast I can play :(:(:((

  • very nice!

  • Well, im a complete guitar n00b... So I really dont get some of the stuff your saying TT~TT

  • hey bobby can you please put tabs on this

  • its actually the minor pentatonic scale but otherwise good lesson

  • sounds like -kiss- LOVE GUN

  • Cheers Bobby. I owe you a pint man. I appreciate all the amazing people like you who are so generous in showing us the techniques behind your talent and ability.

  • very good man!! thanks for putting this up :D

  • hey man great video it reaaly did help :)

  • I love the Maple Leaf stickers! Go Leafs!

  • is that the emblem for canada?

  • Yes.

  • hey bobby crispy u rock dude! thx a lot

  • I wish I could see his pickiing hand..I wanna do the first scale up to speed but I dont know what to pick and what not to..

  • i have the same guitar that you have! :)

    it is a yamaha Eg303?

  • cheers for the lesson dude

  • wat do you mean ascending in thirds ????

  • He means that you have to play it in groups at three notes at a time.

  • You really helped me Bob a year ago...i watch this video now again and i'm glad that i watched it a year ago :D...

  • Thanks man, helped me alot.

    keep up the videos man!

    "metal sign"

  • what do you mean 0:43??

  • in triplets. like in groups of 3

basically just go up 3 notes then down one then repeat.

  • all this is called is tripplets..

    so easy lol

  • Yes I have a BIG QUESTION the question is when how do u decide when to play a run , i mean is it to link two phrases , do u play a scale as a run or do you play it in thirds ...does the run have to lead to the first note of a phrase ...sorry for sounding ignorant , I guess I cant find a teacher to explain this concept especially the theory behind all this. I have been watching someones videos on here and the runs sound so beautiful

  • ur insperational man u taught me everything before i got really good XD ty

  • for some reason i always mute the 6th string

  • wow i cant do this at all man how do u alternate pick so fast

  • never thought of fileing down the pick! and never thought anyone in canada could rock as fast as you do. could you give a little more detail on the guitar pick sanding, like just on the sides or a little on the tip also?

  • yeah but the pentatonic scale is not the blues scale there is a seperate scale called a blues scale he said the blues scale not a blues scale and watch your language

  • you´re right!! you also can include #4º and it would be the definetly Blues Scale

  • you are freaking awesome!!! are you using a strat?

  • Dude you have an arm! do you the you can learn "devil go down to georgea, jhonnys solo"

  • I cannot find the tabs for this on your site. I am trying to pick it apart by ear, but since youtube videos don't let you scrub thru the timeline properly, it is very difficult. I counted 30 notes for the ascending in thirds part. Once i get to the 16th note, it falls apart for me :(

  • Really cool! Man you rock! And e very nice guitar indeed. 1 question though, can I play it in pentatonics?

  • thats the scale kirk uses in some solo parts in the song sanatarium

  • you don't really need sandpaper, usually my picks get that effect by themselves in like a week of heavy staccato riffs and fast soloing. I don't even play that much, maybe just an hour or two a day. Just play one of the first metallica albums and you'll find that you practiced AND sanded your pick! lol

  • lol nice

  • your vids are very helpfull dude...thnx 5/5 for every vid^^

  • do you sit or stand in your vids?

  • i stand on one leg like a pink flamingo, lol.

  • This is cool and very common. But part one was quite noobish. I prefer picking every note when i speed pick. Elseway it is called tremolo picking right? I wbat you to check out the band Sex Machineguns if you havn´t already.

  • love the tone, what kinda effect is it, and what are your bass/mid/tebel/reverb/gain/contour settings? good lesson btw.

  • Nice Job mann!

But that first scale is the minor pentatonic

    not blues scale

  • awsome dude

but isnt tht a pentatonic scale, jst wonderin

  • I believe its his fender stratocaster?

  • which guitar r u playing?

  • so u have like to separate the picking and teh moving of fingers? (i am talking about the part 1)

  • i wanted to see how to descale my kettle and got this video.

its a guy on guitar. bizarre

  • Bob something has gone wrong with all my plecs I used the sandpaper and it ruined my pics it was something like 40 grit??

I tried some finer stuff and that was worse?

It may have something to do with the drill I used it on?

I have never used sandpaper before most of the time I use my fingers so I have tried using sandpaper on them as well! Mind you there was a lot of blood on my fingers but they sure do grip well!!

  • maybe you sanded them wrong? sand them like you would sharpen a knife.

  • @Zombo111 Heres a tip....Dont put sandpaper on your picks!! There are picks out there that have a natural grip surface like Dunlop Tortex, Ultex, Gator Grips. Dont ruin your picks with sandpaper thats just ridiculous.

  • thanks!

  • what effects are you using???

    it sounds amazing!

  • Effects? I think he's just using an amp, nothing too tricky there

  • I think it's overdrive /w a little reverb..

  • You are doing the Lord's work, Sir! Thanks for the great lessons!!

  • Thank you.

  • Another awesome lesson!!!!
