I can't believe you got to ride in shay 5. So not cool. I love that shay more than anything, and I've never ridin in it, much less a steam locomotive. My parents won't take me to Cass. IT SUCKS! Also, see you at rail camp next year.

180 and 181 need new generators. Wheels are worn down and need replacing. All three were bought from a scrapyard when we got them. 182 is running until she suffers a substantial mechanical issue, then she gets retired too. All three need complete overhauls, but 6-axle locomotives just make track maintainence a headache on the sharp curves we have.

I can understand about track work, any 6 axel is killer on jointed rail. Wish the SBVRR luck with their disposition on these units.
