  • wicked toon!

  • pretty amazing

  • @funknroll: You wrote "They released a cover of "Hair" in 1970, for which "Climb That Tree" was the B-side." - Could you upload the A-side, too?

  • @lapislazuli7

Sadly, I don't have it; this track came from a compilation that lacks that one. But I'll keep looking!

  • @funknroll Thank you anyway :-))

  • Rock on,Miss Lemon!!!

  • The bass player and vocalist, Pauline Moran, went on to stage and TV work. You can see her on the PBS import "Poirot" playing the very buttoned down Miss Lemon, Poirot's secretary. Rock on Miss Lemon!

  • whoa! no matter male or female, this is absolutely groundbreaking for 1970.

  • This song is on a President Records compilation, "Sometimes I Wonder" - it just arrived today. "Climb That Tree" was a happy plus while looking for Rhubarb Rhubarb, and Sherridan & Rick Price.

    PRCD 154 - yay.

  • Is this that early 70s girl rock group from Sacramento?!?

  • Hey Khultan,

You're thinking of SHE, with the similar name. This group was Canadians and English women.

  • Thanks, Funknroll. More information on both? )

  • Hilarious. I heard this Tapesque masterpiece on 6music Freak Zone. I have a theory that this record has either been inspired by, or inspired Ken Hensley's 'Bird of Prey' on the 2nd Uriah Heep LP.

  • Brilliant - this song was credited on the label to the members of the The Onyx - a band from Cornwall, England.

  • Now being played on the Radcliffe-Maconie show on Radio 2, still sounds stu-fuckin'-pendous

  • Just heard this on the freak zone too. Absolutely fucking supreme stuff.

  • This tunes just blew my mind a couple minutes ago while i was listening to Stuart Maconie's Freak Zone on the Beeb.

Then I googled for this name and well, here I am. Thank for posting man, you save me from another night of insomnia.

  • Thank you kind sir.

  • What is the 03:09 image? Great job.

  • Thanks! The left side is the cover of International Times (IT), a counterculture magazine, exposing the police brutality at the '68 Chicago Democratic Convention. (See 'Miles - The International Times - 1967 Interview' on YouTube.) The right is a tranlated edition of theorist McLuhan's "The Medium is the Massage: An Inventory of Effects (1967)".

  • She Trinity were queens of rock. To find out a little more about them go to

marmalade-skies co uk and search She Trinity. A great web page with lots of info.

  • Just discovered your postings, for us fans of obscure 1960s and 70's bands you are a treasure...thanks so much. I agree that female rock of musicians of this era have been all too often overlooked.

  • I love this !!!! many thanks
