you probably have it listed somewhere but I have started sculpting but I have very simple tools, nothing thats good for details. What do you use and recommend?
@1Jupiterlight1 .. any tool actually that gets the job done...I use a lot of dental spoons, Kemper Lacing tool, miniature tools that Richard makes for me...I know many that use a simple cuticle orange stick that is filed on one side . Ball stylus, just look around art and craft stores...many tools are readily available now where they were not years ago.
Hi Judy, I think we need you at the "doll makers academy" our ning net work, we aim to learn more and get our items and products recognized you most welcome to check it out .
@ArtPro13 Hi ArtPro, Thank you first for your kind words. A lot of what you see in our artwork is gained from many years of persevering at it. Yes, we do believe that natural talents can be inherited through genetics. However, anyone can aquire artistic prowess by really working at it. One that inherits a natural aptitude will find it easier but anyone can accomplish that same goal if they really want it. Keep working at it. The world definitely needs more artists. Richard and Jodi
@giulio123 I guess I should add...I do keep my nails VERY short via clipping them...hate long nails while I am sculpting...many like that...I do not... so I clip and file
@creagers1 sorry my mistake, pardon me i have long natural nails,i find it more of a plus when i sculpt, cause i can get my nails right in there to feature the face.
you can almost say my tools are my nails :) I love your videos and WILL be buying the dvd
Hi Jodi, Your work is truly magnificent, do you show or sell your work in AZ. Only asking as we are hoping to move there in the near future, just thought I would look out for your work. Once again fantastic work :-)
