Hi, I'm just wondering, what processor do you have? i saw two fans inside your case when you installed the cards and I got curious, is that because you have dual core? That you need to cool them both? Anyway, sorry for acting like a complete noob, but I'm not so good on the hardware part, if you get it :)
@STIMOROL32 I understand what you're saying, and it's ok to be noobish. We've all been that way at one time or another. As for your question though, there are two fans above my CPU because that's the design of the cooler. It's called DuOrb by Thermaltake. The CPU itself is a Q9550 (Quad-core), so no, the fans don't distinguish the core count of the CPU. I'm still learning about hardware myself, but I can answer most simple questions, so if you have other inquiries, feel free to ask! :)
@TazarZero Okay, thank you so much! :) Is it the AMD Phenom II x4 Black Edition CPU? If that is the one you have, what is your thoughts of this CPU? Does it meet all of your needs? One more question, If I send you the specs of the computer I want to build, can you guide me towards what's good and what to stay away from? :) Thank you for your reply, was great help, and thank you in advance :)
@STIMOROL32 The Q9550 is apart of Intel's line of 'Core2' processors - this particular CPU would be among the 'Core2Quad' line. I can't answer your question about the AMD Phenom II since I've never used a system with one in it, but as for this CPU, yes it does serve most of my needs with ease. I do a lot of work with video editing, and aside from the 8GB of RAM in my system, this processor helps out a lot to get what I need done quickly and efficiently.
@TazarZero And as for the specs on your system, go ahead and send me a PM. Tell me briefly what you want to do with your system (yet more descriptive than "everything"), and we'll go from there.
Dude, that medallion thing, actually is the Case Badge.
If you flip it, it should have a plastic cover, if you take that off it will be sticky. It's a case badge! :)
