How do you upload inp files to Youtube?

Well of course i didn't upload the input file itself. I recorded the game and then used input playback on MAME and recorded the screen with CAMTASIA studio.

Hi, i know how to record to MNG (shift+12 or use a record and play option from menu (mameui32)) but this always leads me to problems, 1, there is never any sound and 2, it always slows my PC down (and i have a quad core with decent graphics card), can anyone give me any helpful tips to record games like contra above, i'd love to know how this was down ! PS nice run.

That's great guys. But one question: on the Twin Galaxies website why does it say Grandfathered [No More Scores Will Be Accepted]?

Hey I didn't notice that 'till now.. It means that the rules set at the time this current record was achieved are different from the ones currently valid. Seems like we'll have to make a new record for this one..

I actually like the NES version's graphics better. They've aged a lot better,

IMO the NES version is better than the arcade in almost every way, but Twin Galaxies accepts only MAME emulations as submissions, so we decided to make a record in that version. We always play the NES version and for this record we only practiced one day..

Cool! Did you know that the European version of Contra called Gryzor had an alternating multiplayer mode(like in Super Mario Bros)? That was very annoying.

The game was artistically much influenced by Predator and Aliens. Konami actually also made the Aliens arcade game.

I didn't know you could make Stage 6 Boss go away by inching just enough so that he appears and then running towards the gap.

Yea we discovered that ourselves by accident actually. The boss is really eccentric so we just decided to do it that way and avoid danger..
