Am starting to think this is why In Youngstown Ohio we have had 11 earthquakes since March 2011 rangeing from 1.9 to 2.6 but the worst one was New year eve 2011 at 4.2 which is really odd to have in Ohio and we have only had 3 since the 1950's, and there is a well right near the center of the quake within .5 miles of it. It is difficult to believe there are those who support the risk of poisoning our water, our air, and our soil for the sake of money - which tomorrow could be gone down the drain. Then what? The only clean water would be selling for a price more than most could afford, sold by big water companies like Nestle and Coca Cola. What about everthing else that needs water to Live? I dont doubt that some people are effected. However amongst the population that is "not" exposed to any chemicals and unhealthy conditions there is ALWAYS a percent of the citizens that develope numerous ailments anyhow and many are the same or similar to the symptoms discussed in this video.

At first I was in the middle of this issue but now its kinda changing. Am starting to think this is why In Youngstown Ohio we have had 11 earthquakes since March 2011 rangeing from 1.9 to 2.6 but the worst one was New year eve 2011 at 4.2 which is really odd to have in Ohio and we have only had 3 since the 1950's, and there is a well right near the center of the quake within .5 miles of it. the main ingredient of fracking is water and ceramic beads the pressure forces cracks to open in the ground only at the depth the well has been perforated at so between 2-6 km underground this is way below potable water level and the well is cased with steel and cement all the way to the surface, when a well is fracked it is "killed" which means filled with heavy mud to remove any pressure, the wellhead is removed and a high pressure wellhead capable of the pressure is fitted

It is difficult to believe there are those who support the risk of poisoning our water, our air, and our soil for the sake of money - which tomorrow could be gone down the drain. Then what? The only clean water would be selling for a price more than most could afford, sold by big water companies like Nestle and Coca Cola. What about everthing else that needs water to Live? Well, they don't pay in dollars, they pay with their lives.....and so might we.

Obviously, this documentary has its own biases, just as the gas companies do. But certain facts remain undisputed: toxic chemicals are being introduced into the environment where their spread is unregulated, and their clean up is ineffectual. I don't care whether there have been incidents of water contamination or not (and there have been) - history has shown us (DDT) that we don't know what the fuck we're doing. Do you really think scientists can account for all the chemicals in fracking fluid?

I am from Moscow, Russia and for many years I disliked the US. The key reason being many decades of exploiting the world, taking more than you needed from our Mother Nature. However, yesterday, when I watched this movie I felt sorry for those people in Pensilvanya and a number of other states. My heart is crying because of what oil and gas companies are doing with your country, your people... Thus, regardless of my personal dislike for US, here is a word of support for you guys.

xrnts glad to see someone else is worried about it. We live in north Roscommon where an exploratory licence has been granted for fracking and unfortunately most people seem to be too caught up in more immediate problems to put up any resistance. Its going to destroy our countryside.
