After listening to Origin of symmetry or Hullabaloo, The Resistance is so commercial and excepting some songs, I don't like it very much.

Absolution is still my favourite Muse album, and yes, I know, Matt is a genius.

If I like a band i usually dont care what they do as long as they dont completely sell out. I actually like MOST of the new Green Day album because its still them, just a new style. With The Resistance it's just as good as any other muse album in my opinion, just a different style.

@bestoff123 Agreed. Muse has too much talent to be "proper mainstream". They were gradually making a name for themselves a few years back. Then their music was featured in the Twilight movies (because the author is apparently a huge fan of theirs) & the band absolutely took off. So a ton of people know of them but only care to know a few of their songs. It's a shame considering how talented they are. :)

Exo-Genesis saved The Resistance in my opinion, and gave me a ray of hope. I think Muse might have a surprise with the next album.

They'll either go COMPLETELY mainstream or completely mental, and I hope for the latter, but they'll always have a place in my heart, what ever they do.
