@johnchandler100 actually you are wrong the fans on your Xbox run at 5v / half speed... If the Xbox gets hot the voltage will gain up to 12 volts thus making more speed.. You can run that 9v fan off of a 12v you just need a resister.. And yes the Yellow wire is for Fan speed..

easiest thing to do is buy the inter-cooler, take out the stock fan and let the intercooler itselfcool the system, did it to mine and it works great plus its not that much louder, to do this you must take out the entire stock fan or it sucks

If you need a 9 v with 12 -5-3 power just use 12 v for + and then 3 volt for the - then you have 9v on you`re fan.

Thankyou for the information about the voltage of the three wires, i now have my fixed 360's fans running at 9v instead of 12v which is too loud, 9v is perfect and keeps them nice and cool, SUBBED :D

Cool, The 2 rear fans I know can be converted from 5 volt to 12 volt, however they are too loud, So can I do this 9 volt mod with both of those rear fans lowering them to 9 volt?

I use an internal XCM core cooler that feeds off of the DVD drive, it works fine. DVD is still going to get the power it needs, where do you think it draws it's power from??? *GASP* THE PSU!!!! YOU should be doing the googling here. Leave the 12v and ground on the PSU open so that you can solder cathodes or what have you, instead of doing a bunch of unnecessary wiring later.
