  • This is by far the greatest version of this song. Diana might not have whats considered a 'technically' good voice by many, but its one of the most beautiful I've ever heard. And teh arrangement is amazing

  • Excellent Love the veiw!

  • I thank my mom for introducing me to this among other Motown greats. I now have a very broad eclectic taste in music because of her.

  • love this track, makes me want to sing out loud...........

  • great song, don't even need to say more.

  • If you need me... Call me HAHAHA dats funny lol

  • @robozachy what are you... 12

  • I like Diana Ross, but this isn't a patch on Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's version.

  • @bopbopanna I was just thinking the exact same thing!

  • i was born to this song love this song

  • Mary Wilson was Living off The talents of Jean Terrell when Diana Recorded this Fabulous Tune!

  • Beautiful !

  • Just call me baby I'll be there!!!

  • Motown songwriter Nick Ashford, who penned hits such as Ain't No Mountain High Enough with wife Valerie Simpson, has died at the age of 70.from throat Cancer. R.I.P. Nick.

  • Nick and Valerie ushered the incomparable Diana into her own as a superstar. What a magical combination they were. We will miss you, Nick, but your music will live forever!

  • RIP Nick

    :-(

  • This video is cool! This song makes me miss Nick Ashford! I can't believe he's not with us anymore.

  • truly a legend, famous fantastic fabulous , well u know what i'm saying;)

  • the illuminati exists

  • !!Excelentee grupo!! nunca habrá otro ! Diana Ross.... una diosa

    THE SUPREMES= 05 # 1 HITS in less than 18 month (1964/66) UNMATCHED!

    Diane Ross "SOLO" = 05 # 1 HITS in 42 years (1969/2011) DISMAL!

Ambition & drive well canalized will deliver success, wrongly pursued will land you in ARTISTIC OBLIVION, Diane Ross still has time to make amends lets hope for hers & THE SUPREMES legacy is not too late!

  • love 2:24 :)

  • this takes me back to sf nights

  • Me and my mums sooong :')

  • @MyTinyCock Made statement of fact which had nothing to do w/ maturity idiot . No baggy pants , no gold teeth , but evidently your short coming has affected your brain cells . Guess it was too complicated complimenting the Supremes by comparing to the clowns today ....

Maybe after you get a penis pump , you'll add a few brain cells .

  • 2:24 BEGGINS BEST PART OF THE SONG :D

  • The best version of this song :)

  • WELL DONE

  • This wasn't sung with the Supremes. Diana Ross left the Supremes in 1969 This was from Diana's first solo album in 1970 with legandary song writers Ashford & Simpson singing in the background.

  • @cook200 thank you. yeah the person that posted this is wrong because this was from Diana's debut album.

  • how is this a remake? it sounds absolutely nothing like the original version (tammi terrell and marvin gaye).

  • remix by Redeyes - What You Gave Up

  • this is Diana Ross, NOT The Supremes, jesus u living under a rock or something???

  • Nice re-mix!

  • REMIX!!!!!

  • Jeff Buckley... this is one of his top 5 songs that changed his life........ he recalls living in california in a lil pritchard st house next to the railline and airport, he lived with his mom and stepfather and his mom ran a little recycled clothing business out of their garage called "elegant funk" and he would roll joints for his mom and stepdad..lol it was around '72 he was about 5 years old.. like pac in so many ways dont ask me to explain theres too many parrallels im just discovering..

  • Ahhhhh , not a baggy pant , gold tooth in sight just pure soul music the way it was done before the Devil worshiping record Executives that is was cool to destroy SOUL by hiring drug dealers who could rhyme and sell their Illuminati propaganda w/ occult , new world , masonry , violence laden music ... but they be a fine bunch of lads .... hopefully they the globalist Record Pimps get what they want , a nice warm place in hell ....w/ a hot poker up their @@@ .

    Happy Holidays

  • @franz909 so true. Music like this actually makes you convinced that love is somewhere in this corrupt world.

  • @franz909 man shut the fuck up and just enjoy the damn music

  • @franz909 The music industry ain't what it used to be. How's that Illuminati conspiracy theory going for you?

  • @franz909 wow, really? are u a super christian or something? illuminati propaganda??? i agree this is good music, but i also think u may be unbalanced

  • @franz909 your crazy smh

  • @franz909 I'm with you on this being great soul music and in the belief that rap & hip-hop is terrible on lots of levels but I think your conspiracy theorizing is more than a little over-the-top. Record companies can't sell anything that people don't buy.

  • great sound,it feels like ... you know..

  • I just played this with my school band 8]

  • RESPECT

  • yo diana is a bitch...... cha hear me? i luv me dem supremes minus diana ho

  • IM A SUPREME IN MY MUSICAL TO THIS EXACT SONG!!! EEEEP MY FAVORITE! IM THE SOLO JUST LIKE DIANE!!!!!! AMAZING THEY HAVE THE BEST VOICES

  • well it doesn't seem to be any remix...it is exactly like the original and most of all this is a Diana Ross song, not a Supremes song.....

  • @patroch This is not Diana Ross...............these are the legendary SUPREMES! As I recall Diane was once one of them!

  • @kurtsupreme yes she was one of them, but this is a recording she did on her own after leaving the Supremes: I didn't mean it's not her, I meant it's not the Supremes!!

  • @patroch Oh, don't be silly! Everyone knows that "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" was recorded by the legendary SUPREMES and that Diane was once one of them!!!!!

  • @kurtsupreme My dear I've been a fan of Diana since the beginning and I don't want to be rude but you might have to go over her discography: this song was recorded on her first solo album after she left the Supremes: she never recorded the song with the Supremes except the version with also The Temptations which is anyway very different from this one. How old ar you? I'm 51, I was there, I know!

  • @patroch Don't be silly! How can this be a song by Diane as a solo act? There's more background harmony than there is melody. This is a song by the legendary SUPREMES! I'm older than you and I was there for the SUPREMES! I still am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @kurtsupreme ...it simply is. as I told you, study the discography and you will see that it was recorded in 1970 after she left the Supremes.....

  • @patroch It's a song by the legendary SUPREMES! Give it up!

  • @kurtsupreme I suggest you buy a few books about the Supremes or biographies of Diana Ross and read them. you will find interesting things about their history

  • @patroch I know more about the Supremes than you can imagine................you obviously don't know who I am!

  • @kurtsupreme I don't and I don't care, what I know is that this song is a Diana solo act that was recorded in 1970 and also anyway most of the latest songs that were published as recorded by the Supremes were sung by Diana alone with back up singers

  • @patroch Look, you silly "Ross as a solo act" fan! I have enjoyed giving you the business! I know very well that this song was recorded by Diane as a solo act! I just wanted to let you how it feels to have someone change all the facts around to suit their own perspective like you "Ross as a solo act" fans do with the history of the legendary trio. The legend of the Supremes is greater than the sum of its parts..Diane, along with Mary, Flo, Berry, Funk Brothers, HDH, and others were just parts!

  • @kurtsupreme I never meant to diminish The Supremes whom I adore and always will and never ever said Diana is better alone than with them. they are two different acts and I love them both deeply: as you I cant stand those people who are always gossiping about who needed who and who was better among them.I just wanted to point out what is correct in timing and history....and you probably didn't got it. what is important for me is the music and the passion not the personal lives of artists

  • @patroch AT 51, you missed the phenomenon that was the legendary SUPREMES! Unfortunately, you arrived right in the middle of Motown's intense marketing of Diane as a solo superstar at the expense of the legacy of the legendary trio. I apologize for giving you the business; however, I am so sick of the lies and hype surrounding Diane's legacy and her misinformed "solo act" fans that I just couldn't resist playing with your head. You sound like a nice person.,,I apologize..it was not personal!

  • @kurtsupreme you too and I didn't miss The Supremes! I started my record collection when I was 6 in 1966 and I was always a fan of Motown in general and followed many acts. it is just that I love being correct in dates and discographies, that's all. of course it's not personal, I love Youtube and the chance it gives people to chat. Have a lot of good music today!!

  • @kurtsupreme no its ross as a solo

  • @sierria64 Give it up.........it's the legendary SUPREMES!

  • i love this so song....4ever

  • Amazing!!! Thank you for the post!!!

  • Just caught this beautiful video, wow it is truly BEAUTIFUL I love the background shots you used. Thank you so much. Wow wonderful job.

  • yes supremes travel exotic locations of the earth in your astral soul bubble

  • i love this version

  • No wind no rain can stop me babe, if you're my goal.........

  • Love this song

  • THANKYOU DIANA ROSS

  • THE ORIGINAL DIVA!!!! NO MATTER WHO SHE MARRIES SHE WILL ALWAYS BE MS ROSS!!

  • @bgroupie Fuck this cracker loving bitch.

  • @speakwhnspkn2 Rrrrrriiiiiggghhhhtttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!! I shall call him, "Mini Me"!

  • I have no problems about marrying Diana.

  • Outstanding job on the video! Really professional.

  • Sorry, don't hate but I actually prefer the Marvin Gaye/Tammi Terrell version. One of the few examples of where a remake surpasses the original, like Joe Cocker's cover of The Beatles "A Little Help from my Friends".

  • @elementz1986,the Marvin Gaye/Tammi Terrell version WAS the original (1967).This version was released 3 later in 70.

  • Thank you for sharing this song! Only 25 and loving this music so much more then today's crap.

  • If this doesn't give chills, then it's time to pack it in!

  • the original dreamgirls

  • i love this verison compared to the one with amrvin gaye!!!!!!!!! SUPREMES <3

  • Strong percussion for such an intricate arrangement.

  • Anther one that takes us all to our special places! Thank you Diana & Supremes! thanks for the post!

  • Original is alott betterrr

  • there were NO SUPREMES other than Diana ever affiliated with this song-ALL SOLO DIANA

  • was this originally by them or marvine gaye

  • Fantastic

  • Great Supremes record . They were just the best!

  • nethour I'm a lot older and feel the same way. Legendary

  • diana ross is a bad bitch 3:11-3:21

  • When Diana Ross released her first solo single "Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)", it peaked at #20 on the Billboard Hot 100 in July of 1970 - this was not a bad showing for a new artist, but it was quite dissapointing for someone who had hit the number one spot twelve times-

  • Fabulous effect--someone worked hard on this--awesome!!!! It s like my own personal travelog !! Thanks !!! Good sound quality too!!

  • beautiful..........

  • beautiful song and beautiful lady!

  • This was Diana Ross' solo #1 hit (September 1970); the song was recorded by Diana Ross in June 1970. She left the Supremes on January 15, 1970.

  • You are right, it is Diana Ross' solo hit after she left the Supremes but it works seeing the three together in this video. The Supremes sang so well together and this is Diana's best solo song in my opinion so this video works.

  • the one in the movie was slightly different, do you know where it is?

  • this song is soo hard to find but it was worth looking!<(:3

  • I agree.......... great job on a great song

  • Great job on this video.

  • n grams slapped me up 4 tryin2 scratch on her record player (OG) ...

  • great song , before my time but im still behind . im an 80;s baby n my momma still gots this record yo !!!!!

  • really great songat 2:20 starts the real fun, i always loved that part from my 4 years but i dont knew this songs name. at least now i can lsiten to it :)

  • This song ROCKS! Love it at 2:53.

  • I agree that there isn't much, if any, difference between Motown's releases in the late Sixties and the early Seventies. That said, it still sounds more like Diana than the Supremes, if only because the background vocals are so prominent! The background vocals on songs such as "My World Is Empty Without You" and "You Keep Me Hangin' On" are so low that on the 45's they're almost inaudible. On an Ashford and Simpson production, the background vocals seem almost to compete with Diana's.

  • This isn't a Supremes song. It's Diana's second single release (summer 1970), and the Andantes are the background vocalists.

  • It sounds more like a Supremes song than a "Ross as a solo act" song. Actually, there are so many people singing on that record that it sounds like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks Nana Burke! You bought me so many Supremes 45s in the late 60s! I was only 8 or 9, but you are the hippest Nana anyone could have had! Love Motown because of you! God bless, Jeanne

  • both versions are good.

  • great song five stars on my i pod

  • Thanks, Motownconnoisseur30, for the history of this song. I've always thought that this song put Diana Ross over as a single act after the supremes. Nick Ashford and Valerie Simpson did a superb job re-writing this song for Ross. I wish the radio stations would play the long version of this song instead of the shortened version they usually play.

    Great video! Thanks for posting.

  • This song is older than Jadakiss. It was released before Jadakiss was born.

  • no. im pretty sure she stole Jadakiss' beat.

im 14 and i know everything

  • Are you...*pauses*

    Blatant troll is blatant.

  • I lovee this song..

But im not really a ross fan..

I dint like her in the wiz!
