  • Sympa la peinture du pot qui change de couleur avec la température.

  • Nice exhaust colour scheme!

  • In the hands of an Irishman this is a world beater.

  • ma questa moto và di piu di quelle che sono nelle motogp?

  • INFUCKINGSANE -_-

  • My God.......the sound.

  • Man, that's got to be the most impressive cigarette lighter I've seen in years!

  • I am mad jelly

  • ALL OF MY MONEY

  • how much???

  • would love to see a norton wankel in a vyrus with 2wd

  • ロータリーのバイクとかマジ欲しいんだけど

  • I really love from 1:00 till the end when the pipes get redder!

  • Tears in my eyes

  • all that fire from the exaust means that the engine is far away to be ready

  • @rustretto No, it means they're not cutting fuel while decelerating, only spark.

  • @rustretto Big-port, high-power rotaries tend to do this...

  • Holy shit that is amazing

  • ノートンスゲーwww

  • The powers that be will only ban it from MotoGP competition if it proves to be as fast or faster than the prima donna 4 strokes. They did it with the 2 strokes, when they saddled the 1/2 size 2 strokes with so many disadvantages and it still won, they went ahead and banned the strokers altogether, this way they won't get embarressed by old school strokers. The 4 strokes could be up to 5 cyls and 1000cc, but the 2 strokes could be no bigger than 500cc and only 4 cyl;s.

  • @Revanche2strokes : Actually it had more to do with developing practical (more applicable) technology for trickle down to consumers.

  • Everyone in the dunlop family has balls of steel.

  • jizzed in my pants

  • terbaik meh!

  • how much horsies on the rear wheel?

  • Pure porn. Now THAT's what I'm talking about. The glowing Manifold alone let's me drool all over my desk.

  • lol the exhaust pipe is almost melting

  • @belgiumlife I've heard it's actually made of an Inconel alloy, extremely resistant to melting.

  • The factory's 1/2 hours drive from my house.....or ride, if you know what i mean!!!!!

  • @4kingL me too

  • If a buy one now and shipped it to the Philippines. I can use it on the streets. And I can register it. Its just easy here. Everything is street legal.

  • I think I saw michael dunlop on the video

  • damn. that thing is awesome.

  • sex on wheels....

shame crighton has left norton, hope they get this on the track,,,

one bike i would love to win bsb or wsb

  • Like a MAZDA 787B sound.

  • @CrimeAvenger2 more like the sound of a high reving NA 13b or 12a... the R-26B sounded totally different - much, MUCH more agressive, higher pitched and with this "crunchy" idle ^^ you just can't compare a 2rotor with a 4rotor IMHO... but then again, they do sound more similar than what's in between; absolutely nothing beats the sound of a 20b ;)

  • @purpleGoAhead You should better have a dream more.

  • its like demon trying to be unleashed pure evil

  • What the top rpm on this monster? If there is a measurable top on a totax? ;)

  • as far as i would guess...the motor matched these modern bikes...but weighed alot less then the MotoGP regulations....Rejected and Denied track access to a racing series event...unless its just a track day...i dunno really

  • Wow, too hot, too cool!

  • Holy crap that sounds sweet!

  • Love the note and glowing exhaust.

  • too hot !

    but

    too cool !

  • 2 stroke and rotary rule. Smaller in size, less weight and more power. Four stroke fail. Four stroke sucks major valve.

  • @vitaliyr1 i'd also say that 2-strokes and rotarys rule, but ONLY if they're used for racing - so, like this one :) but on public roads, i never wanna drive anything else than a good old durable, carbed, aircooled 4-stroke with a wide usable rpm-range

  • @purpleGoAhead I am partially with you on that one. You HAVE to go to 4 stroke motor for city use, way more practical. Doesn't load up when idles, doesn't foul nearly as many spark plugs and less smog. And for me it has to be fuel injected and water cooled with modern technology.

  • if thats rotary (is it ?) ,then im sure they will ban it from competing in any MotoGPs.

sad that good technology gets banned, ..like the ol' 787b's case.

  • @vastenmielinen It looks like Norton may be entering a MotoGP contender in 2012 after all. Unfortunately it's unlikely to be the NRV700 which is the pumped out version of this bike (yes, it's a Wankel powerplant).

  • @DoctorJelly shame!

  • @vastenmielinen Yes, it's sad. Instead of competing with it or changing rules (allow bigger normal engines), they simply kick it off.

  • that is a hot bike. hot

  • wow......... too hot ........exhaust.........

  • Comment removed

  • Seems to have go though...

  • The clutch is on the wrong side.

  • gran turismo 4 ps2. my car is the mazda 787b. great machine beat hte game with it

  • donnington park i say

  • sjeessjees---> Yiir I with you, it was forbidden back in the early 90'es alongside with the mazda's in le mans..... Not because they were "cheat engines" but because the comity was payed to do it.....In my prospective anywaye ;)

  • fucking sex

  • now you knwo why they tried to keep this bike out of the mgp. This bike is extreme! 160 bhp is not that big, but it's the weight of the engine and bike!

  • omg the exhaust

  • pure... sexy...

  • Sounds like a 2-stroke.

Wonder if Norton will ever return.

  • outstanding

  • 市販されるだろうか

  • Omg!!!

I'm falling in love with that bike. :D:D

    (And the sounds...)

Bring a big smile to my face and state of mind.

  • look at the egineering on that beauty. Engine Purrs like a dream

  • Damn I watched yhis video like a million times, and every time i want that bike more and more... It's the freaking bike of all times.. I got one of the old aircooled norton rotaryes, it's a blast to drive :DD

  • DO WANT!

Never really liked a bike much, but if this makes it to the street it will look great in the shed next to my FD!

  • What an incredible piece of engineering - and that exhaust note is like candy. Can't wait to see the street version!

  • is it just me or is that thing really lean? if so that would make since seeing how it backfires so much on decel and the ewxhaust is glowing red. but then again my rx7 makes an assload of heat. xD

  • Rotary motors spit fire big time! especally done up ones. Its normal

  • 787Bと同じ音がする

  • why would it need more maintenance?

that is a silly comment from those inexperienced in rotary engine technology. ceramics and lightweight alloys are the way of the future and can take a fair amount of abuse with minimal wear.

  • It would be good to see some of that heat 'recycled' into energy and dumped on the back wheel. What about a steamjacket round the exhausts?

  • This is awesome , i liked the Nortons sound in the 80's with trevor nation on isle of man , the sounds is just the best , and with only 600 cc

  • Don't hold your breath for a production model yet. Those things are like F1 cars, need maintenence after every ride.

  • why would you think that??? Its BS... Excessive noise would be biggest problem...

  • heat is the biggest issue, imagine every RX8 being rebuilt after every drive... norton released a rod rotory machine in the 80 which didnt need maintenence after every ride

  • Rotary for the WINNER!!!

I would like details on this engine. SInce this a 2 rotor.. im guesstimating this thing under 1000cc's? ANd surely revs way better than a 12a

  • The 588 might give you a clue... but then, maybe not ;)

  • oi oi oi Norton is coming back

  • NORTON is still ''the roadholder'' and it's ''unaproachable'' by others!! i think i'm gonna buy this one..

Can you tell me the details and the price? Thanks.

  • not for sale :(

  • Sure - I can do you one, including shipping and tax for £14,998. Send me your bank details and I will organise it tomorrow.

  • could somone explain to me why the exhaust is that hot? is it the racing fuel or.....

  • i think it has to do with the fact that it is a rotary, exhaust gas temps in rotarys tend to be considerably hotter than most piston engines. it might be on race gas, that could make it hotter as well.

  • they dont have a fan cooling it down. usualy when you are on a street bike ( especially in high revs like that) you are moving.. fast..

  • norton was one of the best motor cycles ...... the company should rise again....!

  • they planning a wsbk debut?

  • Wow! good sound!

  • Holy shit, that things gnarly!!!

  • Well, not only the NRV588 but maby a NRV700 is going to be made for the road in 2010'ish :DD

  • Lets hope Michael can ride this Norton to many victory's, just like his father. Good luck Michael and Norton.

  • thank goodness for Inconel !!!!!!.

    AWESOME!!!

  • bike sounds amazing, Michael Dunlop should go well at TT 2009.

  • Thought my aircooled rotary exhaust glowed a little in the dark but this ones red hot and ready to Win at the 2009 TT... Good luck Norton !

  • Michael Dunlop is riding one this year at the TT, can`t wait...... and they are going to make 200 road bikes, but they will be very pricey, i suspect.

  • I know, but Crighton is (maby) going to build road-bikes in 2010 ;)

  • (.(.(((Amazing))).).)

  • it sounds nice

  • Fjock it, i gonna get me one og these !!!!!

  • lol good luck mate, theres only 4

  • i can't see thie verning muffler

    it's crazy lol

  • say the bike there racing at the tt last nite

wooooow wota machine iom tt 09 gona be the best ever :D

  • the orange glow sure looks cool during night, underside neon for bikes!!!

  • The lads from Bracebridge street in Birmingham would be well chuffed that the name lives on. Managed correctly they could use the rotary engine to become another Triumph success story.

TT 2009 first - a very tough place to go and race. Go for it lads. Remember Steve Hislop and the rotary in 91.

  • That is one sexy bike. I really wish I could have one :D

  • WOW !

  • Rotary powered.

    Hell yeah!

  • now that's a bike!!

  • where's the numbers

  • 0:18 - LOL, that was close :)))

  • Top video..

i love the way the exhaust glows orange

    hope it does well

  • WOW !!!!!!!

  • Very angry sounding bike :-)

    The Brits are coming

  • Ok .. where do I buy one ? .... :DROOL

  • see u at the TT.

  • Either that exhaust is a really thin guage or someone is in need of a dlc coating. It sounds awsome, can't wait to see how it fairs against the competition.

  • I`ve always wanted a Norton rotary !! Now I REALLY HAVE to have a Norton rotary !! That sound is quite possibly the best engine sound/music ever !! I cant wait to see them in action at NW200,TT and maybe even Moto GP2 !! Awesome ! AND BRITISH !!

  • Keeping an eye on this one!

  • HOLY SHIT!!!

    I WANT TO SEE NUMBERS

  • that pipe is so red ! look's like it will melt soon !

  • wow
