A nice gesture by Pete to honor Roger's songwriting. He later referred to the "Johnny Cash" vibe of the song as he performed it here. I notice that he swapped the music & lyrics of the bridge/chorus and one of the verses :-)

This is a great song that I wish The Who would do in concert should they continue with live shows. In my opinion, the is The Who's best single--The Seeker and Here For More!

For those of you not in the know, this is an ultra rare song in the Who's mighty catalog, but it's worth seeking out. It was a b-side of the 45 single 'The Seeker'. It was on 2 different CD releases, most notably 'Who's Missing', but also on Polydor's 'Rarities 1966-1972 Vol. 1'. Both are out of print, but check ebay or Gemm for used LP, 45 or cd copies.
