  • Nice man, great form (don't know what some of the haters are complaining about?). It might be too late since this was over 3 years ago, but it looks like the thing you're doing pull-ups on will break if you get any heavier.

    Your muscles are proportional to your body weight dumbshit. Thats why when you compare 2 people with different weights that haven't worked out before, the more heavier person can lift more weight. I'm tired of people posting stupid shit when they don't know what they are talking about.

  • It's actually not directly proportional. The curve created on weight vs. weight lifted becomes lower and lower. It actually is easier for a lighter person (say 110) to complete a number of pullups than a heavier person (like 220) to complete the same number, even if both have same fat %.

  • This is how wide grip pull ups should be done. This is the correct form.

  • Man dont use gantlets it'll increase the strenght of your hands and your fingers. Try to do your maximum each time you do pull ups ;) You'll better then. I've done 17 for the army test, this is my maximum, 18 are actually too ahrd for me.

  • the grip is too wide that is why he is not able to go too high. thats how your shoulders work

  • His form is nearly perfect. He goes all the way down till his joints lock and goes up as high as is possible using that wide of a grip.

  • With your arms that wide, you cannot go as high. All you have to do is have your chin go over the bar for it to be legitimate. And that he obviously does. Even though his chin is not visible, it clearly goes higher than the bar. I don't know what you're griping about. With all the shit pull-ups videos, this is actually one of the better ones. His form is perfect and the pull-ups are complete.

    people need to understand that a workout is very INDIVIDUAL specific - if you're experienced enough you learn to do what works for YOU as we are all different and so we respond better or worse to certain exercises and form.

    I wasn't stating that my opinion matters more than yours. I was just stating my opinion that most people have bad form on YouTube. This isn't even that contested. That said, there IS a such thing as bad form and it can be objectively discerned.

    Yes, people have different exercise goals. I'm not telling people how to work out. All I was doing was to say that this guy does NOT have bad form. I was telling the haters to shut up.

    obviously there is a line between working a muscle and just plain stupidly trying to work a muscle, but all this bs comments on form? it's nonsense. unless it's distinctly obvious the form is INCORRECT (not BAD) then work on - see how you respond to it as we are all different!

  • @IrishRaver03 - I don't think I follow you. I have been defending this guy against the critics from day one. I have not posted a single critical comment on his form. I think you might be misunderstanding me or vise versa. I too want the best for this sport, and I'm happy to see any bloke take it seriously.

  • dude, theyre wide gripped you cant go as high, the pull ups hes doing have really clean form, slow negatives and no swing. he goes all the way down and up. hes doing them really well
