I find it laughable that this interviewer/journalist didn't even know the term "next question". Any respectable journalist should know those universal terms REGARDLESS of race or language.

English is a UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE. It's a language that any reporter of any tongue should know the basics of, or at the very least, a professional journalist. This woman clearly isn't one of them.

P.S., no one ever said he was ONLY American; he is of Puerto Rican descent; however, he was born in New York State, in The United States of America. Therefore, he is AMERICAN.

You're completely missing the point, English was his FIRST language. As a matter of fact, he didn't even Speak much Spanish until he began crossing his music over to the Latin World. Therefore, he is a predominantly English speaker, even his Spanish can be a bit out of wack at times during interviews. So please, watch your words if you know little facts about the artist himself.

And another thing, this interviews was indeed done in Spanish, he spoke Spanish during the interview didn't he? So what's the problem? Does the audience need to know the meaning of a term that was directed towards the reporter HERSELF, not the audience?

Oh yeah? Have you ever been in such a huge fit of rage that you just wanted to curse someone out? It's been scientifically proven that when an individual is submerged in such an enormous amount of rage, the first words that come out of their mouths are bits of their predominant language (If bilingual). His predominant language is, of course, ENGLISH. Thus, he responded in English.

Being a Puerto Rican American myself, I believe I know a thing or two about how national and ethnic titles are given to American citizens.
