@JJackeeeeee jvc has puts their videos in a weird format so you'll have to convert them OR if you have vista and up, with the live movie maker, you can just drag it in. Idk why it works, it's some sort of loophole. i got a remote with mine but I got jvc everio gz-mg630.

when i used a .MOD file it was always 16:9

you can even change your aspect ratio seting video the setting menu on the camcorder.

Thank you, this is so far the most informative video on this cam I have seen.

It's kinda a bummer not being able to connect an external mic, as with most corders, the sound tends to be a little condensed and muddy. From what I can tell from your vid the sound seems ok and I do plan on purchasing...

Thanks for your review of the MG330; I purchased the next model down based on your review the MG230. It's almost identical to the 330 except for less zoom 28x, no led light, and no remote.

I enjoyed your cold coffee video and will try to make it at home.

Rick, I hate to break it to you but you cannot stream with the MG330, at least I have not found a way to yet. If you are just using it for Ustream, why not buy a webcam instead?

You need to make a video reviewing the infrared capabilities of the camera like if it is designed to use it for nightvision or block it

There is no infrared or night vision mode. All it does it raise the gain so things appear brighter, but there is no mode that does what you are looking for.

Just 1 question?

I'm having a difficult time trying to edit my videos on sony vegas pro 8 from my JVC Everio camcorder....

I managed to do it but i always reach two problems that i cant solve:

1- I record with 16:9 specs (Ultra fine) but end up editing it with 4:3.!!!

2- I convert my files to avi then edit it which gives me a 16:9 specs but a HUGE FILE after rendering that i cant upload to youtube !!

I can't answer about 16:9 questions because I don't use Sony Vegas. Just try to look deeply in the project options or when creating it, so you can set 1280x720 or 16:9.

About the huge file, you should try encoding at H264 at around 2500kb/s. Try installing latest DivX version.

The conversion by YouTube dose not do this test justice, if you saw the raw files, you would notice a difference. It's just really hard to see here.
