I was there in 1994 at 13. BEFORE Tavarua bought it. It was a small set up. 1 boat, and we got it pretty fucking good. Biggest day was at the left on a 20 sec period groundswell. Lots of broken boards and STEEP takeoffs and a few decent tubes. Good times back then. We surfed wilkes and I still wonder why we never surfed pools? It was going off but the owner said the current was super heavy for the 3 days it was doin its thing. Wish we had jet skis back then to whip us back out. FUN.....
dude this spot is so sick. we scored it a bit smaller then that but super clean. although i wasnt lucky enough (or rich enough haha) to stay at namotu or tavarua. sick vid

Why the hell is there nobody surfing?
When I was there it was only about 4ft but just big enough to make the section if you pumped hard. Probably longest rides I have ever had.
