i like death metal cause if i concentrate on it it still doesnt get boring. if i concentrate on pop i fall asleep cause of too much simplicity... and nothing else can wake me up in the morning, except for coffee. apart from that, metal is one of the few genres where you never finish with learning on guitar, there is alway something harder to try. and of course to release anger and aggression. after 5 necrophagist songs i feel calm and save as a rock.

CC are perhaps one of the most popular Death metal bands and a lot of people wanna know what it's about. Plus, the metal fraternity is larger than you think. Their 5 million views is what keeps them alive and they respect each and every one of us. Their music hasn't changed and as such, will never be played on the likes of Radio One and as such, can never be mainstream.
I met Alex in 2009 this guy is hands down the best bass player in Death Metal today. Super good guy and very humble and proud of his metal. Cannibal Corpse forever!

Personally I think cannibal corpse is the greatest death metal bands. Most other death metal bands like Brain Drill and Divine Heresy are really technical, but the problem is with their music all I can hear is banging drums, loud screaming. I can't even get the groove out of a song because the musicians play way to fast to even comprehend. Corpse for fuckin' life

When I said "conforming to the masses", I was going off my own experiences.
I used to listen to Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth etc.. 'cos I thought it was the cool thing to do.
Now that I've experienced more genres and underground bands, I've seen there are greater bands than those that are more "mainstream" in that genre.

He speaks the truth...This is why I love Death Metal. It's underground, yes, but because of that the music made is fantastic...it's not mainstream so therefore to be heard you gotta be good, cant just sell sell sell.
The community is awesome as well, nothing but people with similar interests.
And no better way to remove negativity from your life either.

CC are perhaps one of the most popular Death metal bands and a lot of people wanna know what it's about. Plus, the metal fraternity is larger than you think. Their 5 million views is what keeps them alive and they respect each and every one of us. Their music hasn't changed and as such, will never be played on the likes of Radio One and as such, can never be mainstream.
Either way, we love em still. :-)

I met Alex in 2009 this guy is hands down the best bass player in Death Metal today. Super good guy and very humble and proud of his metal. Cannibal Corpse forever!

Eddie from All Shall Perish, I think is an amzing singer, The way he hits different ranges and isn't just gu gu gu, dude can even do some power metal shit. check out Black Gold Reign anwyway, don't mean to mention another band on here but Cannibal Corpse was my first metal band, back in 98' Gallery of Suicide was my first album and have been a metal head since...by the way I hate the Term "Deathcore" ASP is heavy fuckin shred metal...by the way check out Chris Storey;s new band Smash Face.

I was also lookin trhough the cd credits and the only guest who appears on that album is Rusty Cooley who plays all the leads on "from so far away"

well see cannibal corpse isnt just growling, chris did get really low in the 2nd and 3rd cd, but he was just fascinated with guttural vocals, but true death metal isnt screamed or growled, its done through your vocal chords and using your diaphragm, just like any other form of singing, the only difference in the alteration to it, randy blythe for example, produces all his vocals through his vocal chords, and to say death metal is just growls is just publicly displaying your ignorance, congratz

Personally I think cannibal corpse is the greatest death metal bands. Most other death metal bands like Brain Drill and Divine Heresy are really technical, but the problem is with their music all I can hear is banging drums, loud screaming. I can't even get the groove out of a song because the musicians play way to fast to even comprehend. Corpse for fuckin' life

You think it all sounds the same because you're not used to this kind of music. In my ears all power metal sounds the same but i know thats not the case.
