In Australia this would be incorrect as any service station that is self serve does not have nozzels that lock open, the customer must reman in contact with it at all times to minimise the risk of static electricity fires. Ot's also illegal to wedge the nozzel open.

@jamesw112 Agreed. They don't have those locks in the UK either for obvious safety reasons.
