Play NTSC Wii game On PAL System!

I managed to transform a NTSC game into a PAL game sucessfully but when i try to load the game on the Wii the game loads colorless, black and white :<

One question! Does the .iso file have to be zipped? Or can I just use an unzipped .iso file?

@tistoulespoucesvert sorry but answer what? The games you can get from anywhere, just google the gametitle then add "torrent" to the search. <- Then why not get the PAL game directly? But if your qustion is how to transform an actual NTSC disc into a PAL well that's another story. Then you'll first have to create a backup of that ntsc disc, then with the ISO file created do what I do in this video. Look at the new link in the description, it'll guide you to a guide on how to backup your games.:)

@kimwafu03 You'll need either a sofmodded wii (google it) or a chipped wii to play backup disks. This guide is just for chaning the region code on the ISO file and basically have nothing to do with your wii ;) So in order to do this you'll only need a computer, but to play the ISO you need (as mentioned above) a softmodded or chipped wii,

@kimwafu03 Your wii has a region of PAL (as it's a PAL system). In order to play a ntsc game (or any other region) you'll just have to follow the guide (the video). And you should be able to play Monster Hunter Tri without any problem.

@adelin08 I really don't know if it would prevent your system from getting bricked or not. It's up to you to decide if you want to take the risk of might getting your wii bricked or not :) But it might just be the same as wiibrickblocker, then; you'r good to go!

@nestordab13 Use (Verbatim) DVD-R Disks, burn at slow speed x4 or less :) If do that it will turn out just fine!

@nestordab13 I've noticed that some games work on DVD+R, but most work well on DVD-R. I would recommend Verbatim DVD-R, but if the game doesn't run on the DVD-R try using a DVD+R.

I just used WBFS manager and that too says NTSC still...shouldnt it say PAL?

@ViralZen, well the thing is; you want to switch the region-code of the game just so it'll launch on a console with a different region code. It dosen't really matter if a program is telling you that the game is from europe or not. So If you've patched it in regionfrii; then try starting the game in your Wii, if it works = PAL, if not = NTCS. And you said something about an Emulator? If you'r playing within an emulator; then there is no need to change the region code.

I used regionfrii first > dragged it into the .exe > patched to PAL > then used brickblocker and patched it > when i go into my emulator, it still shows up as USA as the area. How do i know if it worked?

Emm no? They are just like PAL Games but with another region code. So they will run just as a pal game would ( with colour and everything).

Well it depends, if a pal game works as it should with colours and everything; then there's nothing wrong with your TV. But check your cable, it might be loose. You may also try to change the Hz on your TV, this can be done in the settings menu.

Try burning at a slow speed, say x1, x2 or x2.4 which I mainly use. If thats not the problem, try using some other discs. I recomend using Verbatim DVD-R and burning at x2(or x1) for maximum quality :) PM me if it dosent work after you've tried this.

The term your looking for is "brick" (brick is when your wii gets fucked up and you can't use it) then no. Because this guide shows you how to play games for other regions without any chance of bricking it.

How? Well the thing is, to get a wii bricked you'll have to update a game with the wrong region code (say that you have an NTCS console and try ti update with an Pal game). But if you follow the guide you remove the partition of the ISO that allows the game to update itself. So It's safe.

Okey, so I've been searching for an answer to this and all I can find is; either your wii needs to be upgraded (there is a backup-loader for 4.0) or you'll have to use different kinds of disks for burning, or try to burn at lower/faster speed.

Don't use modchip. Flash your wii instead, and do it by yourself. Much cheaper, and you have your warrent left. Google; WiiGator BackupLauncer 3.0 And you should find a good guide :)

I have never experienced such a problem, so it's a bit difficult to help you. But try to start the game and if it starts; it works. But be sure to not update the game (as it might brick your console). So before you put the DVD into the wii make sure that you'r not connected to internet.
