each IR reciever controls 1 seperate motor at a time or can it control all 4... like say if i had 4 motors would I need 4 IR recievers to control all 4 of them at the same time?
i'm building a tank with 2 power functions motors. one motor for each tread. will i be able to operate both motors at the same time, as well as separately from one remote + receiver?
Though I failed to test it, I think you can stack motor connectors into the receiver block meaning (abiding to lego PF rules) you could have up to four M motors all running off ONE side of the receiver!
nope. Still works, although I do it rarely since its over the limit for the 1 battery pack and it'll drain power much faster and the motors wont be as strong sooo.... done it once not trying it again.
okay thanks :)

The power functions enable you to run two motors off one receiver. I'm going to be trying out soon if I can run anymore off of one reciever...

Yes - one receiver+remote controls two motors at a time.
