  • Dagnabbit, you are a friggin genius. And not the smart alecky kind, either!

I gonna make this my newest religion. Thank you for this work, Rob.

  • I have watched several of your videos ... and all I can say is that they just don't make sense. What the heck are you rambling about? You don't seem to know anything about the subjects you try to tackle and you keep coming up with these completely nonsensical conclusions. If you think you have any new theory of time at hand, present the math, submit to peer-reviewed science journals and get the Nobel Prize.

  • Spontaneity is a term I prefer to think in terms of when regarding what "selfness" is about and the fact that consciousness consists of discernible levels of intensity of attention (sometimes refered to as the 'conscious', 'close to conscious', 'sub-conscious' and 'unconscious'). Learnt tasks and activities involve a process of conditioning towards a spontaneity with certain actions and reactions while enhancing attention and concentration to others. The "flow" is about this spontaneity.

  • wow the jazz analogy is dead on , i'm a trumpet player !

  • thanks so much!

i highly anticipate "you are the point"

  • I didn't care much for this video. That isn't to say your expression on flow wasn't great. But what is with scale in the background that you never have and didn't even really this time mention. I was expecting at least brief explanation on it as a whole included in the discussion of flow.

  • improv = orgasm

  • Who performs the song here? Is that Rob singing?

  • @mmxbass Yes, that's me singing and playing.

    Rob

  • @10thdim WOW! I know you were involved in the music industry on the production side from following your videos but I didn't know you perofmed too. You're actually quite good.

  • @killroy456 Hey simple solution, don't watch any more of his videos! And if someone's face causes you to loose interest in a subject, then I don't see how it would be possible for you to pass grammar school. Unless all of your teachers were completely perfect on the eyes. But then of coarse that would be a distraction in itself. Maybe you have attention deficit disorder, maybe the problem isn't him but you.

  • @killroy456 You are what most people like to call a little fagget, someone who judges people by theyr faces.

  • @killroy456

    1. you're ignorant.

    2. don't watch this video.

    3. go jump of a very high land bridge.

    4. the end.

  • @killroy456

    successful troll is successful...

  • @killroy456 so you clicked to see a good looking man? close your eyes open your ears and try visualize the man of your dreams lol

  • @killroy456

Haha then don't watch the video! Man people like you really fry me. "I am going to insult everyone including the video's author because I am a shallow idiot who has no interest in higher sciences and only likes to watch videos with pretty boys in them." DOUCHE!

Love your work Rob. YOu gotta make a heavy metal song in your next video. Twould be epic!!!!

  • I find your lack of subscribers disturbing.

  • I can relate to "Automatic" easily. I like to zone out a lot and have trouble multitasking, so sometimes, I'll be thinking about something while walking and forget what I'm doing. A lot of times, I'll walk until I stop thinking about what I was thinking about and realize I had walked somewhere I hadn't intended to. (Usually, I automatically go where I intend to go to, but still.) As I write this comment, I've had to rewind the song several times (I'm still listening), because I miss the lyrics.

  • I sometime have this with respect to playing videogame.

    It's state of Dasein.

  • so the "flow" in music are the notes played in a logical sequence?

  • @fisco130

Music is too subjective to be confined by logic. You can take an expected sequence and alter it to make an unexpected event that could still be very musically satisfying, perhaps moreso than an expected or logical sequence. I think flow in music is most easily found in group improvisation, where the general feel of a piece is never fully contradicted by any members, but constructively added to in a surprising and satisfying manner.

  • so, if physics dont really put any barriers on time, does that mean that everybody thats been working on a time machine going at it all wrong?

  • @JacksonDivilBiss watch part one and two of World First Time Machine - Time Paradox

  • I'm pretty happy time flows in this direction, or it'd be quite awkward watching this video.
