IMO stingers work best in pairs. One person is there to activate the flares/ECM, and the second fires ASAP to ensure the hit.

Remember with rocket launchers, hitting a tank with a straight shot actually does more damage than hitting it with a glancing blow. So hit perpendicular!

People complain about RPGs...DICE have an assignment where you have to get 50 RPG kills to unlock shit. I also refuse to call it noob tubing because the way I use it isn't CQB, it's to blow holes in shit and take down buildings. The M-320 and USAS-12 are the dick guns, not the RPG.

Who fired the RPG gets 100 kill assist. I think this is because the game rounds 0,1% health to 0% and 99,9% damage to 100. weird.

Make a How not to be a noob at recon, if you think its useless its because so many people think its for being a sniper although your goal is to make a safe spot where your team can spawn, close to the objective, and once that objective is taken, grab your gear and move up. A recon is also supposed to spot out enemies for his teammates.

Teaching people how to be bigger noobs... EOD bot is useless, its not even worth mentioning. It was great in the beta, until people found out what it was. Spotting is another very important thing to do. If you don't spot an enemy, you probably just lost your team a ticket.

To the people saying "ohhhh rpg on infantry = nooooob" let me get this straight..because the weapon has a large kill radius, it shouldnt be used. The RPG/SMAW has multiple rockets, can't be spoofed, and is extremely accurate when wielded by an experienced engineer. Assuming you can get to an elevated position, the RPG/SMAW has the same bonuses attacking a Tank's top armour, and has many, many more rockets than the Javelin. The RPG/SMAW is also highly mobile in comparison with its larger cousin and is useful in all situations concerning enemy armour.

In addition to this, it's only useful in that incredibly narrow role in the wide open expanses of maps like Caspian Border and Kharg Island.

Add this to the fact that even with the extra rockets gained from the explosives specialisation, you still don't have enough usually to deal with more than one tank at a time, and you can see that the Javelin is mostly useless compared to the RPG/SMAW. In order to use the Javelin effectively, you need to be working in concert with at least one Support class and, preferably, multiple Recons equipped with SOFLAM and/or vehicles equipped with laser designators.

The Javelin does NOT do loads of damage to vehicles unless you have SOFLAM support because instead of attacking from the air, it will always make an effort to attack from the side - including when you fire from an elevated position, and even then the enemy have got a very high chance of spoofing or evading the rockets once they've achieved lock-on.

Just a quick tip on shooting down choppers/jets. Lock on and wait for them to launch their IR flares and then it will unlock and what you'll do then is re-acquire the lock and shoot as soon as possible. You should manage to get a direct hit without worrying about them using another IR flare. Unless the chopper has 2 people... But usually both people will shoot the IR flare the first time.
