In arabic verbs have a gender. nouns like darling also has a gender. if we want to say I love you to a woman we say it differently from I love you to a man. the same for darling , if it is a man we say habibi. if darling is a woman we say habibti. Most arbic male singers when they sing about their lover they address the lover like if it was a man. they say I love you like if they are addressing a man and not a woman. they call her habibi

It cant be that all arab male singers are gay. it probably has to do with the fact that men and women's relatiosnhips were/are banned (outside of marriage) I have no idea.
