IMO yeah Pagey played on YRGM, so he did on I Can't Explain. When it became a hit Ray shown a tendency to take the full credit, even for most of the production thing (Talmy did it). He even refused to accept that Jon Lord played on the session. Talmy, Jon Lord and Bobby Graham all confirmed it was Pagey, but he denied it himself in press interviews coz legally a session guy couldn't disclose such stuff if uncredited...

I read Plant interviews where he is the nicest, humblest, witiest person in the world (ex. Grammy interview from 2005 - is all on Youtube - a real treat). And other times he is just ...kind of...asshole. About Page..IDK, I didn't follow him and his interviews. And yes, IMO, JPJ is really underated.

The film is from MTV rehearsals footage. they pro shot most of the evenings concert. There is also an Audience Camera from a hotel balcony across the street which filmed the whole show. I do have that VHS.

I was at this show - security on the in gate was abomonable - we rushed the front like it was a Zeppelin show - the crowd was beyond energetic - when the firecracker went off you could see Jimmy was actually frightened and then really pissed - Stairway was just the audience singing and somehow it got flubbed up - but was still a tearful moment

Well, yeah. Some asshole threw a firecracker at him at a concert in Madison Square Garden in '77. I was there and remembered how those big, muscular bodyguards dragged him out of there with his ripped tee-shirt and frayed jeans. It wasn't hilarious because I became paranoid for the band's safety.
