@tattddeb 2 strokes are much easier to maintain and rebuild....u could rebuild a 250 2 stroke 3 times for the price of one rebuild on the 450...depends on your riding too..both bikes in stock form will be tough to handle in tight woods, nothing some differnt sprockets and a flywheel cant help with....still alot of bike for the tight woods...i live in new england where its nothin but rocks, tight trails mud and roots i have an 02 rm250 all done up for HS's/enduros...love this bike.

try to keep your feet on the pegs and give it more gas, it may get a little more squirly but you'll eventually get more comfortable with it

Ive rode the same bike idk what year it is but i dont like it at all one because its a 2 stroke and two its really fast and has a gay ass powerband it looks really nice and it runs good 2 im just not a 2 stroke fan ill stick with 4

keep ur feet on the bike and lean when on corners its easier and it makes u look like a better rider

when your coming in to your turns lean more, keep your foot up and stay on the gas. you dont have to listen to me but it would most likly help

i agree with you there, but in the sand, you cant lean too much or youll dump it, more so then on the dirt :p

its most likely at full operating temp with a mixture of prob 32:1 or 30:1. when ur trailing ur supposed to have more, like 37:1 but every1 just eyeballs the oil bottle measurement and ususlly get a bit more than the standard 32:1

@wolfgang29 look at the graphics, it looks like an 01-02, but its truely an 06, exact same bars with same renthal bar cover and graphics, plus that thing is near new...i believe her.
