Why are you making marks? It's more faster and effective if you just cut the movie as usual and go through it by hand in the timeline, pasting the bleep noise. This video is 4:46, it could be done under one minute =)

I mean no harm with this post, but I do think that this is waaaay over worked.

Also, easiest way to separate the audio from the video is to click the clip, then go up to "Clip" and choose Ungroup. Then use the cutting tool to edit out the parts you want to bleep.

@jlai241 To be perfectly honest I don't use Elements. But I would say you just cut out the little part of the audio and add the another track the tone. I guess you need to get the tone... don't know it that is generated in Elements. - Sorry? JNB

@jlai241 if i was you i would get a standard mp3 bleep sound off a free sound effect site. Then on the part you swear cover it and on the video create a steep fade out line and raise the volume of the bleep. If you have music just go to the next audio timeline (audio 2)

@xstreemquestoutdoors what you are asking is very subjective, but as an Adobe user I think the answer is pretty obvious. I have nothing against Sony Vegas, but I use Adobe for a reason. :)

couldn't you just rommove the sound from the vid, slice the audio without markers and fill it with a bleep

@DjXT3 Yep. More than one way to skin a cat. Effectively you want to find the section of the audio and remove it and replace that section with a bleep.

One I'd like to be a steady header bar containing a category name and then the items in that category to roll up the screen towards the header bar and disappear behind it or fade just as they reach there.

@PratigyaFilms you will need to look at the audio waveform of all camera angles stacked on top of each other. Position the clips along the timeline so the audio lines up. It's tricky to explain so I'll put it in my list of tutorials to make. I'll put it on a high priority. :)

@Ilir7777 its a trick of the mind. There literally is no sound from the video where I swear, the bleep is the only audio at that point. So your brain is filling in the rest of the swear word. hehehehe.

Not bad, some parts are not... Commented per say, very well, but i mean i still understood it and can make a video with a nleeped out Swear word. You might want to try making a Lesson video, Not a tutorial, but a lesson, like teachign the basics and working your way up ( you know starting from things like importing videos, spliting them, sizing them on screens, and eventually to adding effects, changing audio, etc)

it's called the tilda key and its under the esc key.

tap it again to make it go back to normal.

it will maximise the panel with the mouse over it.

You can see other tutorials here, I did make one that shows the basics of editing in PPro. It was done a while ago and might not be the most efficient way to have done it, but there are heaps of tutorials around for the basics.

Good lord... I can do this in 1/10th of the time with Edius! I was looking to change back to Premiere as I use Encore CS4 for Blu-Ray DVDs but after seeing this video I'm wondering if I should just stay with Edius! Is there a faster way to do this in Premiere?

There are always other ways to replace a section of audio with a bleep.

If you want speed, then have your material in the timeline, set an in/out point around the section of audio you want to replace with the beep, then open the bleep audio, lock the video tracks and hit the overlay key. - done.

it allows you to operate different tools with a sub-function. using the selection arrow, it will mean you select just the audio or video of a video/audio linked clip, so you can cut or delete or other things without affecting the other part (video or audio).

I think the install doesn't like your computer system. Maybe it's too old or got old video card? It might just be a bad install. It's something you should talk to adobe about.

Yep CS3, etc. I'll have a crack at the blur thing, that's a tricky one, usually done properly with After Effects, but I'll put it on my to do list, next to vacuum my house. ;)
