It's sad how things ended between Nick and Christian...she loved her husband but she was IN LOVE with Nick, and the look Nick had on his face when Christina opened the door....you can tell he was in much pain. He lost two women he loved the most in his lif, his mom and his sweetheart.

I agree! I loved how Marc portrayed Nick's pain. It is my persoanl preference but subtle acting is my favorite when it comes to dramatic scenes. With one notable exception, Denzel who can pull off the intense acting, I am for gentle strokes and subtelty.

I was really impressed by Marc and wish to see him again soon.

And yes, TNT stinks!

Marc deserves more acting roles all though I only seen him in man on fire and hawthorne Im really impressed! I saw "Man on Fire" when it came out in 2004 but didn't recognize Marc although I liked Samuel Ramos. I am a huge fan of Marc's music but a relatively new one. I am ashamed to admit I only knew of him but hadn't listened to his songs until last spring. Then I looked up his YT videos and fell in love, really hard. I loved him in EL Cantante too and of course as Nick. I remember watching an interview with Marc this summer and he said that he got the acting bug with Hawthorne.

I hope he does consider some offers. He also said that he gets all sorts of offers for movies but his touring schedule doesn't allow long term committments. Hawthorne worked for him, it was a summer series and he was able to film between his tours. Plus his friendship with the Smiths made it possible.

I wish I knew at least what they were planning for Nick and Christina.. My preference would be for Nick to survive and for them to have a second chance after she sorts thing out

I know! But sadly most people don't bother to get the facts and form opinions based on the tabloid trash. That's why this false rumor went around for a while until Marc put it to rest with his interview on Nightline. It was a classy and honest interview just like himself.

I agree about acting, he did more when he was young and I hope he finds the time to do more. For purely selfish reasons, I want him to continue singing and touring. He is working on two albums for 2012!!!

LOL! Let's say he can do both. I have the feeling that he will produce great music this year, sometimes personal pain translates into great artistic work. I have seen a couple interviews when he talked about recording his new English album, the first in 10 years. He also said that his new salsa album will be out in 2012. I can't wait!

I went to two of his concerts this fall and fell in love with him! Maybe in his spare time he can do a movie or TV show, lol!

@ginlover92545 I think if alot of people were to notify the network and DEMAND they bring the show back then we might have some luck....but also it depends on if Jada and the rest of the crew are even interested in bringing it back. Sometimes after canceling a series, actors/actresses move on to other projects and revenues in their careers, causing them to lose interest in what they were apart of before.

Normally, Christina would have been totally in control the way she was when Tom was hit by the car in season 2. However, even though she had ended things with Nick, in that moment, she became totally helpless as she saw the man she really loved dying in her lap. S3 got deep even if most folks didn't get it.

@qusan Your right! I loved Christina in this season. It showed what a complex character she was. We got insight into her childhood, and it explained a lot for me. I'm not condoning her affair with Nick, but she has major abandonment issues stemming from her childhood. She's always taking care of someone, she's always in control (The Strong Black Woman archetype). I liked seeing her vulnerability.

There are women out there who have been in Christina's situation. I miss this show!

@NicoleH73 It would have been interesting to see where they were going to take it next. I understood why she felt she needed to let both guys go even though she is going to further entrench herself in work and in a life where it's just her fending for herself. Tom served papers thinking she wouldn't sign. Nick assumed she be with him. No way she'd leave him if he survived - at least not initially but Tom would have to see her agonizing over Nick in the hospital. Quite a mess to fix.

You said it! I watched the first season of Hawthorne and, although I appreciated the theme and the good acting, I was put off by Christina's ""perfection. I wasn't interested in a one-dimensional character, the super-mom, nurse, friend who can handle everything and never fails. So I skipped season 2 and got back when I saw by chance that Marc Anthony was in the show. His portrayal of Nick and the complexity he brought to Christina's character made me a fan again. I will miss it

@darlingcat Thank You! She had so many layers during this season. That's what I loved about it. I didn't understand fans of the show who were saying they were "disappointed" in Christina. She was dealing with so much emotionally and I think it triggered deeper issues within her. She took care of her mother, she took care of her dad--I think Christina was like, "When is someone going to rescue ME?!" I believe Nick symbolized that for her.

TNT did not want Hawthorne to be a copy cat medical show, but did not stand behind the show, because they want to replace the show. But Jada has some money making projects going on, she was not affected by TNT. ABC recognized her talent and that says alot.

I am sad about the cancelation but not surprised, networks don't want to atke any risks anymore. TNT had already new shows on the line and nurturing a drama that was unconventional wasn't in their plans.

About Christina, I was so mad when she didn't have the decency to talk to Nick in person and hid behind that letter. I don't blame Nick for believing they would be together. She rushed back to him when his mom died and took over at the funeral like a real daughter.

We will never know but your analysis of Christina is spot on. Maybe sorting things out was the thing to do but why did she have to break Nick's heart? If there were a season 4, we would have some closure. Christina had so many issues and Nick's love could heal her heart. That was my wish at least, that he would survive and he and a new Christina find love

@NicoleH73 Yeah, I agree. The letter was cold but I guess she felt that if she tried to tell him face to face, she wouldn't have been able to do it and if she hadn't left his house when she did, she wouldn't have been able to leave.

It was pretty clear in her therapy session that she wanted to be with him but she felt that all of the circumstances around their relationship had been wrong so she couldn't. That's why Nick was so upset because he knew she really wanted to be with him.

Jada will continue to work on projects of her choice and be successful. I really wanted Tom/Christina to be together at least one more season. TNT need to cancel some of those boring no drama shows. This is completely disappointing that Hawthorne is cancelled. Now we'll never know if Nick survives the gunshot, if he did kill the one who killed Christina's baby, or who shot him. That's why shows should never make cliffhangers at season finales unless it's been renewed earlier for reasons like this.

I love Marc Anthony for so many reasons but objectively speaking, he is a really good actor considering that he's a singer that only started acting a few years ago - from Man on Fire to El Cantante and other movies, he's demonstrated that he's got a natural talent for it - he was so convincing in this scene!!!

His friend was the one who attacked Christina and Nick later killed. That why he was in the last 2 episodes because he was going after Nick for revenge. That Det Dupree even warned Nick that the gang would go after him. They want us to think that it was Tom for breaking up his marriage .
