Goofy was known as George Geef beginning in 1950. He had to change because Walt E. Disney didn't like the original funny Goofy, so he wanted him to be educational and responsible. This Cold War episode is from 1951 even though copyright says it's from 1950. This was also made during the Cold War (1940s-1980s) which confused me. George Geef was phased out in 1965 after 15 years and became Goofy again.
