I'm not hugely knowledgable about the superman comics but has his power been toned down for the sake of this TV show. I have seen him pick up mountains and large buildings but in this video he is having problems against one of batman's enemies. He is superman for christ sakes, the guy is probably one of the few people who can take on Darkseid.

As far as this episode goes the only excuse I can think of is that he's out of his element, masquerading as another hero (and perhaps taken aback by Batman's darker rouge's gallery?)

Actually i think I wudda beeen good as a long term AU storyline. but frankly the Marvel Uni started 2 break up for me as far back as Disassembled (how appropriate a name) in 2004. then it just got worse. Spider-Man in partic, my fav super hero eva has been particularly badly treated. he was good from 2002-2004 and then slowly turned 2 shit, and I'm not even JUSt talkijng about OMD, I'm talking about the musical and the cancelling of Spec Spidey show

I dunno why but Marvel has taken the position Ult Marvel is modern and therefore bttr and more translatable in media. Ult Marvel is good...in CONTRAST tot he real Marvel. the concepts 4 these characters r basically timeless and if they enticed readers back then who were seeing them for the first time, then it has to work again today

Stan Lee too for sheer creative output. I dunno any other comic writer who has created as many legends as him. I think Macfarlane is my fav artist, or was haven't seen much of his recent stuff. Jim Lee is also highly talented, mayb the best artist of the 2000s IMO

There was a story in "Batman/Superman" comics called "SuperBat" where Superman's powers were accidentally transfered to Batman. Consecuences, Superman got depression because he felt himself useless. And Batman became much more aggresive and obsessed in his mission with his new power. He manage to make Gotham be quiet for one night, but he almost killed Bane in a battle.

He went into serious depression after superboy died, and he was already feeling major guilt over not being able to stop his father's murder.
