  • scv cymbals will destroy famu

  • It must be easier to make snare than it is to make cymbals..

  • more cymbals

  • Man Famu yu showed out with this cadence...Yu got to be there to feel and hear the big impact comming from this section these videos dnt do them no justice....Before seeing the Z n person i use to wonder why they tune they snares and other drums like that but when yu hear them live yu will understand why real quick lol..

  • this preformance was SOOOO long....

  • BBI would eat this shit up....just sayin...

  • thats so dirty. why would you want to put this on youtube? it sucks. and why would you march that many? its dumb, FAMU is stupid.

  • @stickzz2012 first off FAMU is not stupid. second this is as clean as it is going to get. since the band is 400 members strong so of course their drumline is going to be big. this is normal for them. the snares are using a technique most drumlines do not use and that is the moller stroke. and to say that this line can play as well as they are using this is actually pretty good. just because its different doesnt mean its bad.

  • @TheDragonmaster18 Moeller techinique, not moller :D

  • Respond to this video... honestly i hate the way deep southern bands tune their basses and snares it sounds stupid and like totaly concert pitched to me its an excuse to play lazy cus u cant hear 4real wen sumone mess up tune em up like da hy tension heads yu gunna hear sum guud stuff , but dey da sweetest to use that tuning of the drum

  • @kingjokerful dude they tune their drums this way to keep that old school military sound. and if you dont like it why did youwatch it. and this is clean dude. espically since this drum section is using the molar stroke

  • @kingjokerful dude FAMU along with most southern HBCU bands they are all about tradition. they like to keep that old school sound. alot of their cadences arenot made to be played on high tention snare heads it just wouldnt sound right. this drumline works very hard. so what its different who cares. it obviously works for them. not everyone has to use the latest drum stuff that DCI uses. it just wouldnt fit their sound.

  • @TheDragonmaster18 i respect them tho ckus they are monstrous wit it

  • @kingjokerful Actually Your Wrong U can Hear a Fuck Up a Mile away with drums tuned This way. Trust me I know a lot better then u would. I was a snare drummer there the year before and it was the Most difficult style i came across and i was DCI style based percussionist before i marched with them. Even a simple 5-Stroke roll has a different method behind it thats hard to play in that style. Its not as easy as you think buddy.

  • @theelements89 i never said it waz easy cause it aint easy playin on kevlar either

  • no lie ive seen them in person alot them rim shots aint no joke

  • Man u have to see famu live to understand why they use those snares..I use to say the samething until i was there watching them play tuvok live..man them rim shots will scare lil kids lol..

  • man i love this drumline they make the moller technique look so easy. you guys are awsome dont let nobody tell you guys different im thinking about transfering there

  • Why do they only have 4 cymbals? And wat size are they?

  • @RedanKid11 cuz thats the hardest instrument to come up in the "100"....and they r size 18's

  • @meat3456 Oh ok.. they sound smaller than 18's but ok

  • Has it Occurred to Anyone That Maybe They Want Their Snares To Sound Like That?

  • famu geting wack

  • @2010Queserasera i play for famu and i will chop the shit out u!

  • i really thing its time to get new drums and like tenors instend of quads and snares dat dont sound like concert snare....

  • @Mrfamuboy they are suppose to sound like that they are tuned find it gives them that old school military sound. everyone doesnt have to use kelvar heads.

  • @TheDragonmaster18 famu use white max heads on the snares....

  • @Mrfamuboy how u gonna talk about famu if ur name is famu smh....and famu has tenors....u tryin to use dci terms but u sound stupid and u dont know what u r talkin bout....quads r called tenors in dci dumbass....famu has that....if u r referring to them gettin quints or six tuplets then u should say that.smh....children

  • Okay Z-28......I'd love to see you guys use hybrids. Fast rolls with accents don't kut it in 2010.

  • Hubba Dat Z28 y'all blaze this bruhs!!!!!

  • Man that is the hottest joint in the country it had power technique stickin and it was gruvin the whole time cookman better be glad they played first wow

  • That entire line is huuuge! 19 snares? 12 basses? How do you write split patterns for 12 basses? Btw, are those snares playing on mylar heads?

  • naw...they're Remo White Power Max

  • @jeremyldb3 You guys should tighten your snares. I love the crisp sound of the snare. I'm sure that many of them kan play. however, the sound of the snare makes it easier to hide fuck-ups and dirtiness. But to each its own.

  • @Skholar1911 that's the way the drums sound...believe it or not...those heads were very tight....Ludwig Drums are just made like that

  • @jeremyldb3 they sound like that cuz those r field snares....but they r not as tight as they could b....

  • as a former Section leader of The Zphi28 i have never been prouder of my boys than i was friday night !!! HUBBA Z

  • im trying to figure out why u need 19 snare drummers

  • To each his own. Stop worrying about what they do and do what you do.

  • we don't need 19 snares that's just what it is....So u have a problm we got 19 snares??????

  • I tell yall ratllers catch feelings FAST!!!! lmao

  • I tell ya "rattlers" also know how to spell....GNR!!!!!...Not catching feelings just asking a question......I mean u just sounded like u were bout to hate......And i felt like if thats tha only thing u can say.....That's funny!!!!!That's it!!!!!Why would i catch feelings bout dat?????
