You are playing with great attitude very blues like. Work a little on your intonation when you play.Great playing man I like when hear those strats scream.
hey dude, thinking about getting a highway too, i need a fat sound for quite distorted sound in bridge but dont like the fat strat look, how is the SC or the Bridge/neck switch handling distortion?
Unfortunately that just something you have to live with single coils... most of the time. I have a 60th Ann MIM Strat and it sounds sweet, and altough i get the hum when using overdrive and the single coils it still sounds good. Word of advice tho, unless your a metal head stay away from Line 6, i used to have a Spiderii 30 and the distortion was great but it had a really thin sounding clean and slight overdrive... got my self an old fender solid state amp... sounds lovely and warm

those spider amps are very under rated, i love em, you can get any sound in the world out of em.

yeah. and people complain about the tone quality, when if you just adjust the knobs a little, you get some really good tones.

there is more humming than I want there to be(when distroted), it's relatively quiet( no noise) when clean tho.
